Welcome to this reflective meditation.
On doing and being.
Close your eyes and find a comfortable,
Sustainable seat.
Take a deep breath in as you elongate your spine.
Hold it at the top.
And let it go with a long and soft exhale.
Another one in to grow.
Another one out softly to settle.
One last time filling up your lungs fully and a soft exhale.
A short moment simply to notice.
Every single one of us carries two primary energetic currents.
The masculine.
And the feminine.
The masculine is linear,
Focused,
Analytical.
And driven by doing.
It's the energy that plans,
Protects and executes.
The feminine.
It's fluent and intuitive.
Receptor.
And rooted in being.
It is the energy that feels.
Adapts.
Creates.
And rests.
Throughout the past months,
Your energy might have naturally leaned towards one of these currents.
And without judging or forcing an answer,
Allow for room for reflection of your immediate past.
Have you been heavily anchored in the drive to produce,
Control or cross things off a list?
Or have you been moving through a more feminine space of processing,
Feeling and adapting?
Don't search for a right answer.
Just observe the dominant current of your ego.
Breathe into that awareness.
If you have been living intensely in your masculine doing energy.
Your nervous system might be craving the soft and spacious permission of the feminine to just be.
And if you have been floating in a highly emotional or unstructured feminine space You might be craving the grounded and stabilizing structure of the masculine to hold you.
Without trying to change anything.
Simply honor what has been.
If you have been living in your masculine energy.
Thank it.
This drive.
Disfocused.
And this ability to build and move and execute has carried you.
It has built things.
It has shown up.
So take a moment to genuinely appreciate that current within you.
Breathe.
And if you have been living in your feminine energy.
I know that too.
This capacity to feel.
To process.
To adapt and to soften takes courage.
It is not weakness.
It is intelligence of a different kind.
Breathe.
Whatever has been dominant.
Has been serving you in some way.
Let yourself receive that truth before you invite anything new.
And now only if it feels right.
And you truly feel ready.
I want to invite you to open a door where Ying and Yang meet.
Whether you've rather been a new yin,
You're feminine.
Or yang.
You're masculine.
Imagine,
Maybe as a color.
Assemble.
An action.
A way of moving through your life.
What it would look like.
If you invited the opposite energy.
And allowed them to exist alongside one another.
Maybe you're already living in complete synergy of both.
And can simply appreciate that for a moment.
Knowing that both energy complement one another.
Rather than compete each other.
That one doesn't exist without the other.
And both are eternally dynamic.
If you have been deep in your masculine.
Imagine somewhere in your body.
Maybe your chest your belly.
Your hands.
Quality of softness beginning to arrive.
Let your exhale be a little longer than your inhale.
Let your jaw unclench as you breathe out.
That your shoulders drop.
This is the feminine arriving.
A gentle loosening of the grip that you might have been holding.
What if your best work didn't require focus?
What if the next idea,
The next solution,
The next step was already moving towards you and all you had to do was create enough stillness to receive it?
And if you have been to even your feminine.
Imagine somewhere in your body.
Maybe in your spine or your center.
A steadiness beginning to form like a gentle gathering of yourself.
What if your feelings didn't need to be figured out before you could move?
What if you could take one clear and grounded step simply because you trust yourself enough to begin?
Let your next inhale be a little fuller.
While leaving the structure of your own body holding you.
This is the musculine arriving anchoring you Now bring your awareness to the space behind your eyes.
The seat of your analytical mind.
And imagine cooling that space down.
As of turning off a hot engine.
And then let that feeling,
That focus,
Melt downward into your chest.
And then deeper.
Into your pelvis.
Feel the density of your body.
You are no longer navigating the world through thoughts.
You are experiencing it through raw space.
Now bring both currents into your awareness at once.
The drive and the surrender.
To structure and the flow.
The doing and the being.
See them not as opposites,
But as partners.
Like two rivers meeting.
Each one made more powerful by the presence of the other.
In your body right now.
See if you can find the place where they meet.
Maybe it's in your center.
Or your heart.
Or your breath itself.
This is your point of balance.
And it doesn't mean doing less.
It doesn't mean feeling less.
It means bringing your full self.
All your intelligence.
And all your sensitivity.
To everything you touch.
We will enter a few moments of spacious silence.
And your only anchor is to stay in the seat of the observer.
If a thought arises,
Recognize it as the masculine urge to do something and simply smile at it,
Leave it unpassed and drop right back into the fluid and spacious rhythm of your breath.
That yourself just exists.
And as we begin to close.
I want to invite you to set an intention.
To notice when you are forcing and to breathe instead.
To notice when you are drifting.
And to guide yourself back into center.
And to be infused with Presence.
And let yourself be held by intention.
Take one final deep breath in,
Drawing in everything this moment has offered you.
And on the exhale.
Let it settle into your body.
And your entire inner landscape.
And then slowly begin to notice the room around you the light that shimmers through your closed eyelids.
The air or the temperature in the room that touches your skin.
The sounds.
And when you're ready.
With one of your next exhales.
Gently blink your eyes open,
Remembering that you carry both.
That you always have.
And now you get to choose.
How to use them.
This is also an invitation to get a journal or a piece of paper and your pen and reflect on your experience in the last 20 minutes.
You may reflect on what balance looks for you right now.
And what current has been more present and how it's been showing up.
You can also reflect on the currents that you want or need to invite,
So you can truly thrive.
And if you need to feminine more.
Let go of the plan.
And if you need the masculine more,
Practice anchoring your boundaries and creating intentional structures.
I hope this reflective meditation gave you some clarity.
And I encourage you to take some space and some time to think about it and return every now and then,
Maybe every week or month.
Maybe every couple of months and see what's changed.
So until next time.
