So let's talk about comparison.
It's something we all do.
We scroll through someone's highlight reel,
We measure our progress against theirs,
Or we wonder why we're not further along.
A comparison sneaks in quietly,
But it speaks so loudly,
Telling us that we're behind,
Or we're not enough,
Or we're missing out.
Let's just pause,
Take a breath,
And let it out slowly.
The truth is,
Someone else's journey isn't your measuring stick.
You have your own timeline,
Your own path,
And your own rhythm.
And their success doesn't mean your failure.
Their joy doesn't cancel yours out.
There's actually room for all of us.
So let's just take a minute,
Place your hand on your chest,
And just feel the breath moving in and out of your body.
You're here.
And that's enough.
And in this moment of pause,
If you find yourself having those thoughts again,
That's okay.
Thoughts are going to come and go as you meditate.
Just kindly,
Gently come back to the breath.
You know,
When the comparison shows up,
You can try meeting it with curiosity instead of judgment.
Maybe ask yourself,
What's this showing me about what I want?
Sometimes that comparison can be a mirror,
Not to shame us,
But to clarify our desires.
And then we can gently bring the focus back inward where it belongs.
You know,
Someone once said,
There's no comparison between the sun and the moon.
They shine when it's their time.
And that's a quiet reminder that your light will find its moment.
So as you go about your day,
Remember,
You're allowed to go at your own pace and you're allowed to shine in your own way.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I'll see you next time.
