Invite tonight to be a little softer as you unwind.
And release all the anxiety that swirls in your mind and flutters in your heart.
You are listening to the boundary of calm.
Guided sleep meditation that will bring expansion with each breath and thought.
Safe within this boundary.
It begins to grow.
Taking away any need to fight for calm as you simply let it in.
You have been carrying so much.
The worrying.
The catastrophizing,
The replaying,
The bracing for what might come.
And tonight,
None of that is required of you.
There's no need for anticipation.
Just the gentle coming down from the day.
In a sanctuary just for you.
With ease,
You will draw a line,
A boundary of protection that moves like a tide.
Reaching out.
And pushing away all anxiety.
Forgiving,
Supportive.
And uniquely yours.
And as all your worries and concerns drift farther away.
You may find it so very comforting to drift to sleep.
It's time to dream away.
Welcome to Michelle's Meditation Sanctuary.
I'm Michelle.
And as you listen.
I invite you to think of me as a trusted friend.
And compassionate advocate.
Let my voice be your peacekeeper.
Gently guiding you back to soothing imagery.
When your mind begins to wander.
As they so often do.
I know the flutters,
The wait.
The spinning of thoughts that we are now going to slow down with ease.
Like a carousel beneath a starry sky.
Coming to a slow,
Serene stop.
Everything that unfolds here.
Is yours to shape.
And is designed to meet you where you are tonight.
There's no need for perfection.
Or the pressure of doing things right.
I offer a pathway.
But you walk it in your own way.
To meet each moment authentically.
If something I say doesn't feel quite right.
Adjust it.
Make it softer,
Warmer.
More yours This is your sanctuary.
And you're the one who knows what peace looks like for you.
The hardest decision was showing up.
And everything from here on out will offer ease.
Let's begin.
You come home to yourself.
Drawing in to that private haven within.
Find a position.
That your body can rest in without effort.
Let yourself make contact.
With everything beneath you.
The give of the mattress or cushions.
The cool or warmth of the pillow.
The gentle press of whatever covers you.
Let those surfaces do the holding.
You don't have to hold yourself together anymore tonight.
When anxiety is really present.
Being told to take a deep breath.
May not land with the care and intention of the person saying it.
It can have the opposite effect.
So as you focus on breathing.
Adjust for yourself.
Let out a sigh of release.
It's okay if there's a tightness when you breathe in.
Anxiety can cause a bracing.
A grip in your chest.
Just means it will take a little more care to bring softness and expansion.
It's okay for the release to arrive.
On its own time.
There's no rush tonight.
And it's okay if some breaths feel shallow.
Your body is just trying to prepare for the unknown.
But as you exhale again.
Maybe let out a sigh.
Making a sound.
You can find a little more space.
You can meet your body where it's at.
Appreciating it.
For always doing its best.
Sometimes it goes a little farther than it has to.
In this effort to protect.
So thank it.
As you remember.
Right now you are safe.
You are okay.
You are doing your very best.
Your mind and body.
We have so much to say tonight.
Simply notice the breath you already have.
Notice the thoughts that come with it.
Observe with love and appreciation.
Feel the small rhythm of each breath.
As you take in the night air.
And then release it.
Take your time.
Easing into each breath.
And come morning.
You may awaken feeling quite different.
Lightness and ease to each breath.
As your body resets and refreshes.
As the healing comfort of sleep.
Dials down the noise.
And gives you a soft place to drift.
And when you feel ready.
Only when you feel ready.
Try something simple.
A yawn.
Even if you have to pretend at first.
Yawns can be quite contagious.
And even pretending may conjure a true yawn.
If you've ever witnessed a kitten or puppy yawning.
You can see the ease that comes to them when they do.
That same surrender.
Meets you now.
Maybe inhale and yawn again.
And let out a sigh.
Your nervous system cannot fully distinguish.
Between a genuine sigh of relief.
And a practiced one.
Pretended exhale.
That surrendered breath.
Carries a message deep into the body.
It is safe now.
You don't need to prepare or stand guard.
Worry is the rehearsal for all the things we do not want.
It practices disaster.
Keeps the alarm bells ringing.
And insists on staying watchful.
A long exhale helps you begin to rewrite your intentions.
Every small release.
Arrives as a message.
To the deepest parts of your nervous system.
With the invitation to let go.
Try it once more if you like.
A long,
Slow,
Sighing release.
Now allow your body to take over from here.
No longer needing to guide your breath.
It takes control.
As it has always done.
Since your lungs inhaled their first breath.
Gently guide your attention to your body.
Where you are in space.
Bring your awareness to your jaw first.
That small,
Held tension.
That lives there without announcement.
Let it soften just slightly.
Letting go of the grip.
Let that softening travel up through the temples and across the brow.
Let the muscles around the eyes release.
Smoothing away the small,
Silent effort of worry.
Drop the shoulders.
Let them fall away from the ears.
Where anxiety likes to hold them.
Feel them become heavy.
Welcome.
Bringing so much space to relax in.
Allow the belly to release.
So much of our fear lives there.
The clenched anticipation.
The braced center.
Let it go soft.
Let the breath find a little more room there.
As it rises and falls in gentle waves.
The hands.
Curl the fingers if they have been holding on.
Let them rest.
Open and quiet.
The legs,
The calves,
The feet.
Feel them become heavy.
Carried you through another day.
And now they belong fully.
To the sanctuary for rest.
As you move through and release.
Notice how much space.
Anxiety has taken up in you today.
How it compressed you.
Drew you inward.
Made you feel smaller than your actual size.
Tighten shoulders the locked jaw.
Held belly.
Anxiety can steal your space.
Yet it's possible to expand.
Find more space.
Feel lighter.
Sense this lightness and opening that comes.
As you welcome the idea of being okay.
As okay as you can be right now.
Okay isn't being perfect.
And okay doesn't come with pressure.
It's just the act of being.
Accepting what's truly in this moment.
Supporting and yielding.
Offering.
And receiving.
Gently guide your awareness to the center of your chest.
The heart space.
Imagine something there.
Soft luminous glow.
Just a gentle radiance.
Pulsing softly with each breath.
The color of it is yours to choose.
Perhaps a warm goal.
Or a cool silver blue.
Deeper,
More vibrant you.
This glow is the beginning.
Of your boundary of calm.
With your next exhale.
Slow releasing breath.
Feel this glow expand outward from your chest.
Just slightly.
A ripple of safety.
Moving past the skin.
Past the edges of your body.
Into the space directly around you.
Like the slow spread of light.
From a single candle.
Perhaps it brings a cool soothing sensation.
Relieves inflammation.
Or maybe it is warm.
Inviting more softness.
You decide how it feels.
And what you need.
Feel the space around your body.
Fill with this calm.
Let it settle around you.
Like something soft.
Draped over your shoulders.
And again with the next exhale.
Let it expand a little further.
Past the width of the bed now.
Feeling the space to either side of you.
Above and below.
The air within this boundary is different.
Quieter.
Slower easier to breathe.
Anxiety cannot move through it easily.
Worry loses its momentum here.
If you feel the boundary waver.
If a thought slips in.
Until the glow flickers or draws back.
That is not failure.
Just the tide going out.
And every tide that goes out.
Welcome back in.
Simply wait for your next exhale.
And let it carry the light outward again.
Gently.
Patiently.
Without frustration.
With the next breath.
Let it expand further still.
Past the walls of the room.
The world within this boundary is calm.
You said that.
And now let it expand beyond what is visible.
Beyond what is familiar.
Let it move outward into the open atmosphere.
Into the dark and silent sky.
Of the city.
Above the country.
Above the clouds.
Let it push further still.
Into the deep.
Weightless.
Awe-inspiring quiet.
The universe.
All those tight circling midnight worries.
Ones that felt so enormous.
And so urgent just an hour ago.
Feel them travel outward.
On this expanding boundary.
They are taken out of the sanctuary.
Rearranged in a place.
So you may protect your peace.
Feel them pushed gently but firmly.
Into that vast,
Open,
Starlit expanse.
And out there.
Without the walls of your mind.
To give them weight and gravity.
They begin to dissolve into nothing.
They scatter so far and wide.
That they cannot find their way back to you tonight.
Universe is large enough to hold them.
You don't have to.
And in the extraordinary space that has been cleared.
In this cozy territory you have claimed.
Start to imagine.
What you would like to experience.
In this boundary of calm.
What beautiful spaces.
You like to fill?
Now that you feel the spaciousness,
And lightness.
Observe the openness.
Of an untouched world.
Easily painted with a single thought.
Color.
Or idea.
As you explore this space.
Protected by the boundary of calm.
You breathe a little deeper.
Your feet barely grace the floor.
As if floating to the first space.
That appears just ahead.
Drift by the long,
Billowing,
Sheer curtains that surround it.
This is the room.
Where it all worked out.
You don't have to know exactly what was worrying you.
To feel this room work on you.
The walls communicate something to your body.
A certainty.
That the storm you were bracing for has passed.
That the outcome landed safely.
What felt so impossible to navigate.
Found its resolution in the end.
Recognize how much energy you spend.
And the anticipation in this room.
You feel the powerful hope and the sweet optimism.
Of it all working out.
The act of worrying.
Takes more energy and time.
Than the actual happenings.
Or event.
In this special room.
You find yourself releasing.
Dreaming can be a form of planning.
So imagine it all working out.
Feel the energy spent on anxiety.
Returning to you.
In the space where it all works out.
You are infused with energy.
Vital and soothing.
Like a tide coming home.
Like money being returned to your account.
Rest in the comforts.
Of everything working out.
Not needing to plan.
Understand the why or how.
Just the simple peace.
And feeling it all working out.
Beyond this space.
There are infinite moonlit rooms.
Celestial light pours in through the skylights.
Floor to ceiling windows.
All the deep blues of night soothe you.
Glistening in parts.
With opal lunar light.
You follow this light into the next room.
Safe within the boundary of calm.
The walls are padded.
Draped with indigo.
Midnight blue velvet.
You drift into the space.
Of the quiet room.
This velvet is of extraordinary quality.
Absorbing all sounds.
Ending all noise.
It absorbs,
Huh?
Embracing thoughts that have been bouncing around Picking up speed with each pass.
Lose their noise here.
There is no surface for them to echo off.
They arrive.
They slow.
Stay quiet.
Stay still.
The mental static that spirals through the day.
Comes to stillness here.
It softens to nothing.
In this room.
You saddle on a velvet cushion on the floor.
Feeling each breath.
Adding whispers to the space.
Linger here.
Feeling the profound silence.
It holds you.
Inviting every nerve cell to stand down.
And take a holiday.
Feel the ease and serenity.
Surrounded by the velvet and softness You may dip into this room.
Whenever a thought stirs.
Whenever outside noise interferes.
This velvet escape.
Comes along with you.
Come voting.
In a quiet corner of your mind.
Within the boundary of calm.
You rise slowly Grounded by the quiet.
You step on the soft floor.
And return to a corridor.
Where sheer periwinkle curtains dance in the night air.
Temperature is cool.
The circulating air.
Purifies your lungs,
Feeling lovely as it kisses your bare skin.
You step into a moonlit garden.
The air here is clean and soft.
Carrying the faintest sweetness.
Aromas that you find the most restorative.
The moon hangs low.
Casting everything in a pearly silver light.
It makes the edges of things feel gentle.
The ground beneath your feet is soft.
The garden stretches as far as you choose to imagine it.
Growing.
And expanding the boundary of calm.
Anxiety caused your muscles to contract.
Convincing you to become smaller.
It in the garden.
You recognize how expansive you truly are.
The night blossoms with endless possibilities.
Explore this space.
Wandering along its paths.
Under the silhouette of vibrant trees.
You settle near a fountain.
And a deep nest of silk cushions and a lounge chair.
They support you.
As you recognize the blooms around you.
All nourished by you.
And the worry-free space you've created.
You are the architect here.
Maybe there's a fire pit.
Casting warmth and the most soothing light.
Perhaps there are candles.
Dozens of them.
Making everything golden Or maybe you prefer the garden to have Just a moonlight the blades of velvety grass.
Into the open sky.
Let the garden begin to soften now.
The edges becoming dreamy and diffused.
And allow your awareness.
Drift gently to a bedroom.
Just at the garden's edge.
Step inside.
And find a bed waiting for you.
Notice the pillows cool linens and their soothing waves.
The absolute peace.
Notice how this room feels.
Not smaller.
The world did.
And anxiety had its hold.
Spacious.
Airy.
Completely safe.
The boundary of calm.
Has settled around the sanctuary.
Just outside.
It's not a thing you have to maintain with effort.
It simply is.
Like the walls of this room themselves.
It stands.
Everything that was troubling you.
Spiraling the worries the intrusive thoughts.
They remain far out in the cosmos.
Dissolved into silence.
Unable to find their way back.
This space is entirely yours.
You don't have to figure anything out.
You don't have to solve,
Plan or prepare.
Your only task right now.
Is to let yourself be held here.
Inside this boundary.
Inside this perfect room.
And the simple,
Steady rhythm of a body.
That knows exactly how to take care of you.
While you sleep Your heart is steady.
That oldest rhythm.
The one that has been with you.
Keeps quiet time in the background.
And somewhere beyond the boundary.
The night goes on.
But none of it can touch you here.
You have done the work.
Pushing the edges wide.
Clearing the space.
Settling into a peace.
That is genuinely yours.
And just like your breath continues without your attention.
This boundary of calm.
Holds without any effort on your part.
It's there,
Expanding.
And giving you the perfect space for sleep.
And sleep arrives when you stop trying.
A quiet tug.
And a gentle tie.
Brings you into complete surrender.
Let my voice soften and blur at the edges.
Let the words become less important.
And the quiet space between them.
Boundary of calm is yours.
It will be here when you wake.
For now,
There is only the safe and shimmering quiet.
As you dress.
Finding serenity.
Finding calm.
Finding peace.
Finding sleep.
It's time to dream away.
You
