So,
What I'd like you to do is get comfortable,
Relaxed.
.
.
And close the eyes.
.
.
Okay,
Let's start by taking just a few deep breaths.
.
.
With the next breath you can imagine light,
A beautiful light coming down into your head and flowing through your body.
.
.
And then with the next breath you can breathe in and tense the muscles in your legs,
And as you breathe out just relax the legs.
.
.
Breathe in and tense the muscles of the stomach.
.
.
And then breathe out.
.
.
Breathe in through the arms and make fists of the hands,
And let go.
.
.
Breathe in and squeeze the shoulder blades together.
.
.
And then relax.
.
.
Lastly,
If your neck and head are a bit stiff,
You can rotate your head.
.
.
And now just count backwards slightly from 10 to 0,
And keep yourself becoming more relaxed as you count.
.
.
Now into this quiet place we've created we invite our guides,
The spirits,
Jesus,
Whatever name,
Whatever symbol you want to use,
They want to hear our welcome.
.
.
Invite them in to guide us through this session.
.
.
If you wish you can see it as the light shining down upon you,
Or a hand you hold.
.
.
Now turn to your guide and ask,
Please show me someone who I need to forgive,
Someone where I lose my peace,
They can be alive or dead,
On the television,
In your family,
Anyone.
.
.
If no one comes to mind,
Just choose someone you don't like.
.
.
Make the situation real for you,
If it was some conversation perhaps you had,
Just bring it back,
It's alright to feel negative.
.
.
Have someone you saw on the television that made you angry,
Or someone perhaps just died but you have the strong memories of the pain you carry.
.
.
Locate in your body where you are feeling this,
Where you are carrying this tension,
This pain.
.
.
If it feels comfortable you can put an accepting hand over that part of your body.
.
.
Just take a moment to look how large it is,
And what shape it is.
.
.
And then say to yourself,
I accept these feelings of,
You can give it a name,
Pain,
Sadness,
Anger,
They are part of me.
.
.
You are not trying to change or heal them,
You are just accepting them being there.
.
.
It's alright to feel anger or hatred,
Or self-pity or sadness.
.
.
You can stand back and look at it,
And say that's ok,
I accept you.
.
.
Now imagine this person standing in front of you.
.
.
And slowly they start to radiate light.
.
.
Watch them transform,
Change into perhaps a symbol,
Some image.
.
.
Who they really are,
Underneath all the personality,
How they were really created.
.
.
They can change into anything.
.
.
Let's see what comes.
.
.
This is who they really are,
Who we don't normally see,
Beneath their personality.
.
.
And then turn to your guides and ask them,
What is this relationship teaching me?
In what way is my behaviour similar to this person?
What fear rises in me when I am with this person?
And then when you are ready,
Say to yourself again,
I accept myself exactly as I am.
.
.
I accept myself as I am.
.
.
Look again at the person you wish to forgive.
.
.
Try and become aware of their fear and pain,
And see it as a call for your love.
.
.
If it helps,
You can see the person as a small,
Unhappy,
Distressed child,
Who is in need of comfort.
.
.
If you can see the person as a small,
Unhappy,
Distressed child,
Who is in need of comfort.
.
.
If you can see the person as a small,
Unhappy,
Distressed child,
Who is in need of comfort.
.
.
If you can see the person as a small,
Unhappy,
Distressed child,
Who is in need of comfort.
.
.
As you look at them,
Imagine a beautiful healing light coming down into them.
.
.
And as the light comes into them,
They start to smile.
.
.
And you see someone who is struggling through life,
Just the way you are struggling through life.
.
.
And you'd like to see them healed,
As you would like to be healed.
.
.
We'll just take a few moments to say anything you need to them,
Anything perhaps you've understood.
.
.
And if you can,
At the end,
See if you can go over and give them a hug and wish them well on their life.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Take what time you need,
And when you feel complete,
As far as you've gone,
Just come back to the room.
.
.
