The shame compounds and I spiral down, The tunnel of not easy to say, Not easy to feel. Shove your coping skills down your throat. I'm tired, Scared, And find it hard to breathe. I reach my hand across the moat and float within the stream. I float and float, Hoping you won't leave. But standing, You pull on your coat and give me time for me. All I have is time, And so I grieve. The not easy to say, Not easy to feel. And I don't know how to say it all again, To make the words begin from beginning to the end. The shame compounds and I spiral down. I don't want to be held in a file, Have you nod and smile. Be that case of such and such, The girl who cries and sleeps too much.
