This is a shame spiral.

The feelings are real,

But feelings are not fact.

What if you did nothing wrong?

You thought nothing wrong.

You felt nothing wrong.

What if this is not your shame?

What if in this very moment you chose to be gentle with yourself?

You are not inherently flawed.

You have good qualities.

You are worthy of kindness.

It's okay if this is hard to believe right now.

There will be times when it is easier.

This spiral will end.

This is a shame spiral.
