A five-minute practice to breathe, focus, and be positive. It can be completed seated or lying down, at any time of day. I will guide you through a few rounds of breath and positive affirmations and let you meditate before closing out the practice with a bell. Thank you to Music of Wisdom for the backing track.

Take a moment to settle in to this day.

Find a comfortable seat on a chair,

On the floor,

Or on the grass.

You can also lie down if that is calling to you.

Wherever you are,

Feel where you are.

Inhale a deep breath through your nose.

And as you exhale,

Lower your shoulders down your back.

Inhale.

Exhale and lower your shoulders down your back.

Continue to inhale and exhale following the direction of your breath.

Simply observe where your breath is moving through your body and out into the world.

This meditation is a reminder that today is a good day.

Today is a good day because you are here.

Today is a good day because you are able to fill your lungs and fill your stomach with fresh,

Clean air.

Today is a good day because you have made the choice to be here.

Today is a good day because you have made the choice to be in this moment and reflect on positivity.

Positivity is a choice,

And it's one we are in control of.

You choose whether to say that today is a good day.

Sometimes it's hard to say that it's a good day.

Sometimes a lot of things make a day not a good day,

And that's okay too.

But for just this moment,

Let's make the choice to say that today is a good day.

Today is a good day.

And today is a good day because you are here.

Take the next few moments to continue breathing.

You can focus on something that makes today a good day.

Or you can simply repeat,

Today is a good day.

I will ring the bell when we are closing out this meditation.

Let's close out this meditation with one more inhale together,

And one more exhale together.

Thank you for choosing to spend this time with me,

With you,

And with your loved ones.

With yourself,

And with positivity.
