Meditation can help kids become aware of and respond to internal signals of stress before their developing brains and bodies give in to a full-blown tantrum. This 15-day course introduces you and your little ones to fun and interesting activities for cultivating mindfulness in daily life. You will be guided by the highly acclaimed BBC host, Kara, and her young friend Julien, narrating a charming and inspiring script by Mindfulness Montessori master teacher Sophie Timpers, with consultation with Dr. Richard Gold. All lessons are accompanied with beautiful music based on scientific research and created by award-winning composer Yuval Ron. From observing your body responses to positive affirmations, and finally, to calming down for a good nights’ sleep – you and your kids will be guided to achieve a greater sense of joy and inner peace.

Along with my Executive Producer, Dr. Richard Gold of Metta Mindfulness Music, we seek to create beautiful music that enhances health, mental equanimity, and the expression of loving kindness. Our mission is to create music that is informed by ancient wisdom traditions and current advances in neuroscience and music therapy research. We are dedicated to engage renowned performing artists in recording music for the purpose of promoting healing and well-being through sound.

Today is all about love and relaxation. You will be given positive affirmations to say out loud. Then, we will focus on the love between the caretaker and the kids. This lesson changes negative thought patterns into positive ones, boosts mood and self-confidence, and teaches your kids to self-soothe.

Mindful Listening: Focus Pocus

In Day 4, we will be practicing mindful listening again. You and your little ones can enjoy this game together to better your observational skills and increase empathy and focus.

Lesson 5

Breathwork: Focus Pocus

Day 5 helps deepen your breathing techniques. Additionally, you will be guided through a new activity called grounding - a technique using all five senses to provide immediate relief from stress and anxiety. After this lesson, you and your little ones will notice improvement in articulating your thoughts, your mood and focus.

Affirmations: Focus Pocus

Accompanied with powerful affirmations, you will be guided to hone your physical awareness by noticing any physical sensations on your body.

Lesson 7

Mindful Listening: Bye Bye Bellyache

This special lesson includes brain entrainment music as part of your well-being journey. Our friend Julien will continue to guide us into another mindfulness listening activity, resulting in increased relaxation.

We return to another mindful listening practice through a fun learning experience, this time to a soothing soundtrack inspired by water.

Day 12 involves a special guided massage session while practicing mindfulness. It's deeply nourishing, comforting, and relaxing for both of you.

Lesson 13

Mindful Listening: Sleepy Time

It is now time to unwind for sleep. With an introductory activity to the song, Julien will guide you to practice your mindful listening.

Lesson 14

Affirmation: Sleepy Time

A positive affirmation to ease you into rejuvenating sleep, followed by a mindful massage session to get both of you ready for bed.

Lesson 15

Breathwork: Sleepy Time

As we come to an end to our 15-day journey, you and your little ones will be deepening your breathing practice. In addition, you will be introduced to another gentle physical activity, decreasing stress and improving your sleep quality.
