This is a meditation to relax after a nightmare.

So just lay down,

Don't be afraid to lay down.

I know nightmares are scary things but it's the way our bodies and our minds have to solve issues and solve situations that we need solving inside.

And the subconscious can be very intrinsic in the plot it creates for us to heal.

So now just take a deep breath.

Inhale deeply.

Exhale all the stress out.

Inhale deeply.

Exhale all the stress out.

And again inhale deeply.

Exhale all the stress out.

Now imagine yourself on the most wonderful bedroom you can imagine.

The most beautifully decorated bedroom with all sorts of decorations you love and little colors and sheets,

Comfortable sheets.

A really comfortable blanket all around your body,

Really comfortable,

A comfortable pillow.

Now you can imagine that there is a very good wonderful spirit holding you comfort and guarding your door.

They say it's okay for you to relax and they will guard you forever.

As long as you need to stay there.

And they stand by the outside of the door as you can relax inside.

Or they can stay and you can vent and talk to them about your nightmare if you wish.

It's good to talk about nightmares because we realize the insanity and the irrationality of it and how unlikely it seems.

If you want just really snuggle in your blanket or blankets and just stay there for a while relaxing.

Now if you wish to stay you can stay or if you wish to leave and just walk,

Take a walk by a river or by the ocean or in a forest.

You can do that laying down with your imagination and just feel the comfort of being away from something that you may not remember anymore as well as you did a few moments ago.

If you want you can imagine your best friend or a person you want to really talk to about it next to you and just discuss it with them.

Okay you can stay there.

I'm going to end the meditation and you can stay there.

And do whatever you please just to relax.

I have never thought of seeing my nightmares in this way especially afterwards as they are vivid and scary sometimes. But this made a difference. Thank you 😊

Truly helpful and genuine meditation, 'Don't be afraid to lie down', it's heartfelt when you mention that. Much love and gratitude Matilde. For me, it might have been longer or it might include some sort of soothing music but your meditation is helpful after a nightmare 🙏
