Quite often we look at life looking at the problems we need to solve to feel better,
To live better,
To live in a way that is congruent to the harmony of the universe and everything around us.
Because we look at nature and we look at everything and there seems to be no flaws,
There seems to be no errors,
So we feel lacking,
We feel somehow aware of the error.
The way we can understand this is by taking a walk in a forest and trying to see if a fallen leaf is the error or a carcass of a dead insect for example and try to understand if those are the reasons because we've fallen or because we feel less than alive that maybe we are errors too.
I think we can begin by closing our eyes wherever we are sitting or laying down and take a very deep breath.
We can begin by feeling our whole body,
How we are it,
We are our bodies.
Begin to feel the tips of our toes,
The tips of our fingers,
The way our legs feel,
Are they heavy,
Are they light,
Are they tired?
Is our body in a resting mode,
In a fighting mode?
Just taking awareness of how we feel,
What are the sensations that arise from these complex emotional states we are always in.
We can feel the center of our bellies,
We feel depleted,
We feel full of energy,
We feel our emotions matter in our lives,
From everyone around us to our own selves do we give our emotions the proper attention?
How does the center of our chest feel?
Does it feel free?
To love?
To be compassionate?
Is it full of constraints?
Just taking awareness,
Not changing anything.
How does our shoulders feel,
Our left shoulder for example?
Does it feel tight?
Compressed?
Does it feel light?
Soft?
Our right shoulder?
Both of our shoulders?
How does the back of the neck feel?
Is it dense?
Can we relax it a bit?
Just feeling it melt a little bit?
Our truth?
Are we saying the truth I'd like to say?
Are we centering ourselves enough to feel belonging somewhere?
Is your jaw tightened?
Or is it full of expression?
Are your lips feeling soft and smooth?
Or are they asking for constant attention by your tongue,
By your teeth,
By your fingers?
Your cheeks feel?
Spaying attention to your cheeks for a moment,
They feel blush to happiness.
Try bringing a smile to your lips.
Do you love your cheeks?
I think we do love our cheeks.
They are very comfortable,
Aren't they?
Your eyes feel sad,
Happy,
Calm,
Stressed.
Try bringing some comfort to your ass.
Do something radical,
Say,
I love you,
Eyes.
Did that relax your forehead?
Now try soothing your body,
Just feeling a wave of relaxation.
Just coming from the top of your head,
Down to your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your hands.
How do you feel your hands right now?
Are they soft?
Try to soften them a bit.
How do you like your chest?
Your abdomen?
Your belly?
The love handles?
They are beautiful.
Your buttocks,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Knees need relaxation too,
You know.
Are they smiling?
They feel happy right now.
Your legs,
Your heels,
The bottom of your feet,
The top of your feet.
Now relax your toes.
Take another deep breath.
Now another one.
Relax yourself too,
Rest,
Just rest,
Rest is enough.
Everything in your body is absolutely needed for you to be alive.
If life didn't think you were worth it,
You wouldn't be here.
The sadness we feel is maybe we don't feel appreciation.
Do we appreciate ourselves?
Do we give ourselves enough love and attention?
Compassion and kindness?
Are you kind to your body?
It's not just about eating right,
It's about looking at ourselves with love and attention.
It's about taking at least one day a week to just simply rest and take care of yourselves.
I like to take lavender baths,
It helps my body feel happy.
I feel happy too,
I sleep better,
At least once a week.
There's not a single library in your body,
You know.
Everything exists for its purpose,
Whether to remind us that we're worthy,
Whether to let us know that we're worthy,
Whether to make us learn that we're worthy.
There's a simple lesson in everything,
You know.
A teacher of mine once said that science exists because someone out there understood that the universe is intelligent and that it needs to be understood with an intelligent,
Rational and stable mind.
When the ancient philosophers spoke about the mind way before Descartes,
They spoke about the whole body being in tune with everything that exists.
The Roman Emperor,
Marcus Aurelius,
Said that everything was interconnected and that is the truth of the universe,
The only truth.
Everything else changes.
Do we feel interconnectedness not with others but with ourselves?
Do you feel how your nose interconnects with your middle toe?
It's quite wonderful to tickle the middle toe and tickle the nose at the same time and see how the body as a whole feels with that.
Can you try to do that?
It's fun.
What did you feel?
You know,
What you felt was quite unique to yourself.
You are unique.
If there is another truth in this whole thing,
It's that everything is absolutely unique,
Even if it's a copy.
That's quite wonderful,
Isn't it?
Your identity,
Who you are,
Is absolutely unique in the entire reality.
Wow,
If there isn't a miracle,
I don't know what is.
Do you still feel like an error?
I hope not.
You are not.
Take a deep breath.
Say it out loud and say it to yourself.
I love you,
Me.
Have a wonderful day.
