Hi,
So this is a small meditation to help cleanse the mind from the media,
All we see here and read,
All the violence and all the difficulties of life.
So this small meditation will help us bring us to a place of comfort inside the imaginations and to bring peace within ourselves and with our futures and to bring the Dharma to us with a little love and kindness in the midst of this.
So I want you to lay down and be comfortable,
The more comfortable you are the better.
Just put some good pillow and a good warm blanket and just be there for a while,
Just breathing in,
Feeling the breath and reminding yourself where you are inside.
Just feel where the heart beats the most,
Where it is mostly centered,
Where you feel it in the head or in the chest or in the wrists or in the feet,
In the legs,
In the belly.
It's important to put your hand where it is and just breathe to it,
Just calming it down.
There is a trick in somatic trauma treatment to put your right hand below your left arm and your left arm on your right shoulder.
If you are feeling somewhat stressed,
I think this is a great approach to just feel better about yourself and just be there for a bit until you feel calmed down.
Ok,
So if you need to pause the meditation just do it,
Let's just breathe and relax and enjoy that tonight is a free night to just be ourselves.
I think a good practice is to remind ourselves that what we see and what we hear,
The music we hear,
The songs we play,
The lyrics,
The shows we watch,
The violence we consume.
I think it's a good practice to slow it down and to watch more pretty things,
Things that speak right to our souls and to our loving kindness,
Selves,
Loving selves.
So just practicing being free from violence and aggression is a very good practice.
Ok,
So with a gentle breath just imagine yourself on a meadow,
A beautiful,
Beautiful meadow with a tree,
A huge tree just a little bit in front of you.
There is a little path there you can follow to the tree,
You can go barefoot or you can not but try to feel how the soil feels beneath you.
Feel the warmth of the sun and how it smells the flowers and the air.
Just touch the tree when you get near it,
Feel how it feels to you.
Do you want to say anything to her,
To him or do you feel something?
Now just sit below this tree and just feel how the sensations in your body feel right now.
If you're chilly just imagine a little blanket below or under the tree and just wrap yourself around it and feel the warmth.
If you can just try to be as relaxed as possible.
You can have a little conversation with the tree if you want and just pause the meditation and talk to the tree,
Just ventilate,
Ventilate all out,
Everything worrying you.
Trees have always great advice,
Always.
So if you didn't pause the meditation we can carry on and when you open your eyes in front of you the view of that tree there's a little house there.
You're going to imagine that house as you want whether wood or stone or just a concrete house.
I want you to imagine how you would live in a place like that.
Just you,
Yourself,
Someone you really really love,
The soulmate of your life,
Some pets,
Some vegetable garden.
I want you to imagine that kind of freedom.
If you wish to live there alone it's possible to if you feel it's too constraining to live with someone else right now.
That can change in the next meditation look.
It's fine to just be there and imagining a perfect life here for yourself there.
Would you like something simple or something really big mansion with a huge pool?
It's fine to want things and maybe things we get,
Things we don't.
It's fine to desire and to have a better life.
That's a very good thing I think about spirituality nowadays.
We tend to want better for ourselves than others.
I think it's a very beautiful thing about spirituality nowadays.
Okay so now let the house be and the freedom be there for you to go anywhere or anyone with anyone or anytime you want.
And just turn to the tree and ask for its advice.
How to achieve a perfect loving freedom for yourself and the ones you love and those who you wish to be free with.
I think it's important to realize that when we really want to be free from something we want everyone else to be free with us.
I think it's a beautiful sentiment we all have.
So when you talk to the tree and when you touch the tree what do you feel?
I think deep gratitude sometimes is a big feeling when we are relating to trees.
How do you feel your feet,
Your rooting ground,
The sole of your feet,
Planting?
So I want you to imagine you have a handful of seeds in your hand and you just scatter them around the tree and maybe flowers emerge or vegetables or weeds.
Weeds are amazing things.
I love weeds.
I'm a weed collector.
I have all sorts of weeds in my garden.
Weeds are incredibly medicinal and incredible for the soil.
I love weeds.
My favorite kind of plant.
In trees and flowers and all the rest.
So just scatter them around and as you do so just wish something.
Wish for happiness,
Love,
Freedom from people you love for yourself,
From people you don't care that much about but you don't want near you.
Wish them well and maybe those you don't want near you can wish them farewell.
I think it's a wonderful word from the past.
Wishing someone a farewell.
Now just keep walking down the path away from the tree,
Away from the house where you reach a little river.
If you want you can just go naked and throw yourself in the water or just sit there just observing the river going through what it goes through.
If you want to just sit there you just can talk to the river too and ask for its advice on whatever it is worrying you.
If it's there's still a need.
If you still carry some seeds in your pocket you can do the same just wishing everyone well.
The river well,
The tree well,
The house well,
Yourself well.
Just take a deep breath.
May I be free from suffering,
May I be happy.
May everyone be free from suffering,
May everyone be happy.
I think rivers talk a lot to us and they're calm.
It's so,
It glues to us you know.
The river calm,
It really glues to us.
So I'm going to tell you to just sit there and then go back to the tree or back to the house or just leave the meditation when you wish.
Just learn to rise above your very deep mind.
And to get out of the meditation with breaths and just sit there with the river and the tree and the house and just feel your freedom.
Thank you.
Have a wonderful day.
