Welcome to this sacred pause for the winter solstice,
The longest night of the year.
Across time and cultures,
The winter solstice has marked a powerful turning point,
A time when darkness reaches its peak and light is reborn.
It is a cosmic invitation to slow down,
Reflect,
And realign,
To honor the stillness before the return of light,
To trust that even in the quiet,
Transformation is unfolding.
In this space of sacred pause,
Come home to yourself and plant the seeds of what you want to grow in the light to come.
If you haven't yet,
Close your eyes and allow your breath to slow.
Feel your body,
Your hands,
Your feet,
Your chest rising and falling.
And now listen for the quietest sound in your space.
Then notice the furthest sound you can hear outside of your space.
Let your senses expand and return softly to your breath.
With each inhale,
Breathe in stillness of winter.
And with each exhale,
Release anything that no longer serves.
Feel yourself rooted like a tree in the cold earth,
Held,
Supported,
And safe in the dark.
Now imagine a vast snow-covered landscape beneath a deep midnight sky.
The stars are bright,
But everything else is silent.
In the distance,
You see a flicker of golden light.
As you approach,
It glows brighter.
This is your inner flame.
It never goes out,
Even on the longest night.
Let this light remind you,
What is quietly unfolding within myself?
What is asking to be born within the darkness and expand as the light returns?
Just notice what arises,
Gently,
Without force.
You don't need to rush your becoming.
This is the beauty of the solstice,
The slow return to light.
Now placing your hand on your heart,
Silently repeat,
I honor the stillness within me and trust the return of light.
Let the words echo softly inside.
You are right on time.
You are becoming.
Take one final deep breath in,
Hold it gently at the top,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Feel your light,
Steady and warm,
Glowing from within.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Step into this new season with intention and grace.
Even in the darkness,
Your light is rising.
Trust the return.
Happy winter solstice,
My friend.
