Welcome to your Sunday Night Reset.
If it serves you,
You may want to have something to write on and with to capture what comes up for you during this meditation.
This is your moment to gently close one week and intentionally step into the next.
Find a comfortable position,
Sitting or laying down.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and a long,
Easy exhale out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale,
Letting your belly expand.
And exhale,
Letting your shoulders drop and soften.
One more time,
Breathing in and breathing out,
Releasing just a little more of the day.
Now bring one hand to your heart space,
And if it feels right,
Place the other on your belly.
And notice your body rising and falling with each breath.
Notice that you are here.
You are safe.
You are supported.
As you settle in,
Gently scan your body from head to toe.
Notice any places that feel tight,
Tired,
Or heavy.
There's nothing to fix,
Just noticing.
If you find a place of tension,
Imagine sending your next exhale directly there,
Like a warm wave of softness washing through the area.
Inhale,
Creating a little more space,
And exhale,
Letting something go.
Now,
In your mind's eye,
Imagine the week you just lived.
You don't need to replay everything.
Just let a few moments float to the surface.
The highlights.
The hard parts.
The ordinary in between.
As you breathe,
Gently ask yourself,
What is one thing I'm ready to release from this past week?
It might be a specific situation,
A story you've been telling yourself,
Someone's expectations,
Or a feeling like pressure,
Guilt,
Or self-doubt.
Trust the first thing that arises.
No overthinking needed.
Now,
Imagine that one thing as an object you're holding in your hands.
Feel its weight,
Its texture,
Its presence.
With your next exhale,
Imagine placing it into a flowing stream of light beside you.
Watch it as the water carries it away.
Gently,
Compassionately,
Without force.
You do not have to carry this into a fresh week.
You're allowed to set it down.
Now,
With that space you've just created,
It's time to invite something new.
Bring your attention back to your heart space.
Feel your hand resting there,
Your heartbeat beneath your palm,
And ask yourself,
What is one value I want to embody this coming week?
It might be peace,
Courage,
Compassion,
Joy,
Presence,
Or another value that feels aligned with your truth.
Let it come to you like a whisper.
Trust whatever arrives.
When it comes,
See that word written clearly in front of you.
Imagine it glowing gently in warm light.
Breathe in and silently repeat the word to yourself.
Breathe out and fill your entire body with it.
With each breath,
Imagine this value flowing through your mind,
Relaxing any anxious thoughts,
Flowing through your heart,
Softening any tightness or self-judgment,
Flowing through your body,
Guiding your choices,
Your schedule,
Your yes and your no.
Now imagine the week ahead as a path gently unfolding before you.
See yourself moving through each day,
Each conversation,
Each decision with this value leading the way.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in and a long,
Gentle breath out.
And affirm to yourself,
I release what no longer serves me.
I embody my values one moment at a time.
Let your hand rest back on your lap or at your side.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Gently roll your shoulders or stretch in any way that feels good.
When you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
You've just reset your week with intention.
You can return this practice every week to realign,
Release,
And remember who you really are.
