Close your eyes,
Have a comfortable sit and take a few deep breaths in and out.
Remember that it's your safe space,
It's a safe time to be,
To meditate,
To take care of your mind,
Body and spirit.
We are going to invite your mother to join you behind your left shoulder and invite your father to join you behind your right shoulder.
This is where they belong,
Behind you,
Supporting you,
Guiding you and doing the best.
No matter what the story is between your parents and you,
This is a place behind you and you are in front of both of them.
And invite your little girl or little boy that you used to be.
It is your inner child,
Your little self,
The one that experienced your childhood,
Your past.
And look at him,
Look at her.
You can even place your left hand on your heart and your right hand on your belly.
And look at your inner child.
Do you feel connected to him,
Her?
Do you feel that you have a relationship with her,
Him?
Do you feel distant?
Do you feel absent?
Ask her,
Ask him,
How can I help you?
What can I do for you today?
And again,
Look at her,
Look at him.
Send her,
Send him love,
Compassion,
Acceptance.
And tell her,
Tell him,
You matter.
You are important.
I see you,
I hear you,
I recognize you.
You are me and I am you.
Without your courage,
Without your love for life,
Without your hope for your destiny,
I wouldn't be here today.
I am here thanks to you and only you.
And my role now as your adult self is to be your shelter.
It's to be your connection to your environment,
To your new world.
I am here for you and I'm not going anywhere without you.
I need you.
Through you I know myself better.
You are important.
I love you so much.
My relationship with you is so important.
When I am connected to you,
I feel whole.
I feel grounded.
I feel seen.
I feel heard.
I feel recognized.
I feel that I belong and that I have a place.
So my inner child,
Let's go back to our place together.
Can I hold your hand?
And go back to your place in front of your parents.
And tell your inner child,
Here is your place.
You are not in charge of mom is her dad.
You are in charge of your life.
You are not here to save mom,
Dad or your family.
You are here to take care of yourself.
Mom and dad are good.
We trust both of them.
So then we can trust ourself.
And from that place in front of mom and dad,
We can move on.
We can enjoy life.
That life.
That is ours.
Hug yourself really,
Really tight with all of the love and compassion that you have for your inner child.
Hug yourself.
Love yourself.
You are important.
And take a few more deep breaths.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly and gently,
You can open your eyes.
