If you are listening to this meditation,

It means that you wanted to eat,

That you thought that you were hungry.

Hungry for cookies,

Cakes,

Yogurts,

Sweetness,

And maybe also something salty,

Like a salmon bagel or pasta.

Whatever you thought you needed to have in order to not feel that pain anymore,

That suffering anymore,

Food wouldn't have been the answer.

The answer to release your pain,

The answer to comfort you,

The answer to reassure you,

The answer to give you love.

Food is not love,

It's part of love,

But not when we are binging or overeating.

It's not being hungry of food,

It's being hungry of love.

There is a lack,

An emptiness.

And so we eat anything,

Just to not feel anything anymore.

To not experience that pain,

That suffering,

That frustration,

That anger,

That sadness.

And it's never enough,

So we keep eating and eating.

But if right now you are listening to me,

I also know that you want to stop having those bitching moments.

Because you also know it's self-punishment,

Self-sabotage,

It's hurting yourself,

Your body,

Your mind,

Your spirit.

And maybe for five minutes you are going to feel great,

At peace,

But then guilt and shame will be here.

And it's a vicious cycle,

And you do not need to go through that cycle.

Love starts with you.

So please,

I invite you to sit in front of a mirror,

Or standing up in front of a mirror.

Look at yourself,

Look at your body,

Look at who you are,

And send you love,

Compassion,

Kindness,

Patience.

And ask yourself,

What's happening?

What is it?

It's not about food,

I'm not hungry.

It's about my emotions,

It's about my feelings.

It's about my heart that is broken.

It's about that feeling of emptiness.

What's the cause of it?

Find the root,

Dive deeper.

Maybe right now you can journal,

Or you can have a glass of water,

Or tea.

You can also have a walk outside,

Or why not taking a shower,

Or having a bath?

Just pampering yourself.

Because at that moment,

This is the only thing that you need.

Loving yourself more,

Pampering yourself more,

Pleasing yourself more.

You can also read a book,

Watch a funny movie,

Or a silly sitcom.

What can help you?

Which tool,

Or tools?

You know what to do.

Listen to your intuition.

Of course,

You can have a bowl of fruits,

Or one cookie.

Because I know that you also know how to make the difference.

Between eating healthy,

And overeating.

Again,

No one on earth thing can fill up that void,

That emptiness,

Except you.

I know.

It will be so much easier if someone was right now with you,

And hugging you,

And giving you love and comfort.

But you know what?

You can do it.

You can do it on your own.

Love starts with you.

Compassion starts with you.

Kindness starts with you.

Respect starts with you.

I know you can do it.

Look at yourself again.

Open your eyes.

Hug yourself.

Give yourself a big hug.

So much love for your body,

Your spirit,

Your mind.

You are not alone.

Never.

And trust.

Trust that you are going to heal from it.

Understand that life is never the same,

Always different.

And the only consistent thing in life is change.

You can do it.

You can love yourself.

You can receive love from others.

And you can have a healthy relationship with food and so your body.

You are amazing.

You are beautiful.

And you are enough.

Keep connecting to your body.

Keep connecting to yourself.

And when you feel ready,

Just take a few more deep breaths.

Slowly and gently open your eyes.
