Hello Insight Timer Friends,
I am Maria and I am so thrilled that you are here.
I have only released a couple of meditations here on the app so far,
But I am working on adding more for you.
This particular meditation is a very brief affirmation to help you get started in your day or to help you sleep,
Help nourish your thought patterns while you rest.
Whether you are lying down or seated,
It doesn't matter for this particular meditation.
I want to ask you to close your eyes,
I want to ask you to lose any preconceived ideas about what meditation is.
I want to invite you to just be.
Be in this moment,
It doesn't matter what your name is,
It doesn't matter what you do for a living or where you live on the planet.
You and I are sharing this moment,
This energy together.
We are connected.
Everyone between us is benefiting from us noticing across time and space.
We all share the same breath,
The same air,
The same sun on our face,
The same moonlight.
We are yes on this beautiful planet.
I'd like you to notice your hands.
I'd like you to focus on your fingertips.
Breathe at your own pace,
This is not the time to count,
It's not the time to control,
It's the time to notice your hands.
I'd like you to place your hands,
Palms facing upwards.
Feel the energy in your fingertips.
Every breath you take nourishes your body with beautiful oxygen.
The flow of air through your lungs,
Through every cell.
All of that energy is meant for you and you are able to use that energy through your voice,
Through your intention,
Every action in your life affects someone else.
Your hands,
You use them so often.
To write.
To drive perhaps.
To touch the shoulder of a friend you are supporting or caress the hair of a child you love.
Hold a glass of water for an elderly family member.
We take care of each other.
Wherever you are at in your life,
Remember that.
There are people taking care of you.
You are loved and you are meant to love.
