Hello,

Hello you guys.

I am so excited that you are here.

Thank you so much for sharing some of your energy with me.

First thing I want to say is you are here at exactly the right time.

You aren't late for anything.

Nobody else knows or has experienced more than you.

You are in exactly the right place right now for you.

So I want to welcome you to the very first meditation that I'm doing in this new year.

I'm Maria.

I've been practicing the chakra dhyana meditation for nearly a decade now.

I have branched out into a lot of different types of meditation as well over the years.

I think in our current challenges in life right now,

I think it's so important,

So vital,

That we regain our focus,

Our attention,

Our awareness on ourselves,

Our own strength,

Our own power.

So I have some of the friends here are in a Zoom chat.

Some of the friends here are on Facebook.

Wherever you happen to be tuning in from,

I want to welcome you so very much.

If you have any trouble hearing me,

Go ahead and you can either type in the chat on the Zoom or the comments on Facebook.

If you are listening to this replay later,

I'm still here for you.

I know you're there.

I can feel you watching right now.

I find it funny that they call these things lives because I'm alive right now when you're watching even if it's an hour from now or two months from now.

So I want to welcome you.

In these weekly Tuesday sessions,

7 p.

M.

,

I might change it to 8 p.

M.

I'll talk to you guys afterwards about that.

But I chose this time and date,

Day of the week,

Because that's where I began 10 years ago.

My teacher Alina Shallev,

Tuesday nights,

7 p.

M.

I remember racing around in my life trying to get to meditation.

Hurry,

Hurry,

Hurry so I can get there and relax.

So what I'd like to do in these next seven weeks is I'm going to have a little bit of a vision,

A little bit of a plan.

What we're going to do each week,

This week we're going to start with the root chakra grounding ourselves.

We're going to work on posture.

We're going to work on our physical body as well during these meditation sessions together.

We're going to do a couple of different types of meditation.

I'm going to leave you with something that you can practice during the week until we're together again next time,

Okay?

So I'd like to begin by asking you to close your eyes.

We're going to do a breathing exercise first to relax.

Open ourselves up to the messages that might come to us.

I want to invite you to close your eyes.

I want you to enjoy the silence.

Feel free to place your hands gently on your lap,

Palms facing upwards,

Ready to receive whatever gifts might be in store for you tonight.

Breathe at your own pace.

I want to invite you to allow your breathing to get deeper.

With each inhale,

Feel yourself getting taller.

Feel the top of your head reaching towards the sky.

Each exhale,

I want to invite you to release more air than you are inhaling.

Just think about that and breathe at your own pace right now.

Our bodies,

Every cell in our being,

We breathe out air into the atmosphere.

We breathe out energy.

Often times,

We think of breathing out as releasing what does not serve us any longer.

Right now,

I want to suggest that your exhale is actually gifting the world with air,

With positive,

Loving energy.

Inhale knowing that your breath is traveling through the atmosphere to help other people perhaps.

I want to take three deep breaths together.

We're going to pause after the inhale and the exhale.

We're going to breathe together right now.

Get ready.

Feel your feet planted firmly on the ground if you're sitting.

Let's inhale together now.

Pause,

Pause.

Feel your shoulders relax.

Pause,

Exhale.

Pause,

Pause,

Pause.

Inhale.

Pause,

Pause.

Pause,

Exhale.

Pause in that moment,

Not breathing.

Inhale.

Pause,

Pause.

Pause,

Pause.

Exhale.

I want to invite you to bring your hands into prayer position,

Palms together in front of your heart.

I want to invite you to touch the tips of your thumbs to your chest where your heart resides.

Your fingertips are facing up into the heavens.

Your thumbs are in contact with your sternum.

On your next inhale,

I want to invite you to raise your hands up above your head,

Straight above your head,

With an inhale now.

As high as your hands can go,

Relax.

When you exhale,

Lower your hands down again.

Thumbs in contact with your heart.

Inhale and raise your hands up.

Exhale and bring your hands down again.

Inhale up.

Exhale down.

I want to suggest to you that every culture,

Every practice has some sort of arms raising into the air element to it.

Even getting out of bed in the morning and stretching your arms feels good.

It actually moves the energy up,

Connecting with the sun,

With everything around you.

I want to invite you to explore that idea during this week.

I want to invite you right now to go ahead and slowly open your eyes.

Just in the last few hours before this meditation,

I talked with my friend Jennifer,

Who's on this call right now.

Hi Jennifer.

She's quarantined in her room right now.

She has COVID.

She is one of the people on this call that may be directly affected in this moment.

I'd like to ask all of you to send her positive energy for healing,

Prayers that her family stays safe as they stay away from her right now as best as they can as they try to care for her.

The exercise that we just did is a breathing exercise.

I know that that is so important for all of us,

But particularly if we are afflicted with the COVID virus right now.

We all could benefit from really exercising our lung capacity,

Raising our arms into the air above us.

Breathing exercises that actually flow the air with your arms helps make better use of your lungs and your abdomen.

All of us could benefit from breathing exercises like that.

They help to center us and to connect us anyway.

I want to tie the meditation to our physical bodies,

Our physical health as well.

Let's talk about grounding.

Let's talk about the root chakra,

The base of our spines.

If you've been with me in meditation workshops in the past,

You know what I'm going to say.

The root chakra is our energy center that is related to our ancestors,

Our past.

Now I would like to in tonight's meditation concentrate on looking back into our past,

Into those that came before us.

And what they would offer us in this moment in time in history.

What they would say to us,

What they would give to us to help strengthen us in this challenging time.

When one of my kids was a baby,

I remember changing her diaper.

And I remember very clearly her looking up above my head.

I could feel her smile.

I could see her smile.

I could feel her joy.

She was an infant.

She couldn't communicate yet.

But she was smiling and kicking her little feet.

And I could clearly feel both of my grandmothers in the room with us.

And I think it's such a beautiful reminder that babies often see things that we don't anymore as we grow older.

I'd like to play a song right now for you guys.

We're just going to relax for a moment and I'm going to talk you through a meditation.

I just want you to relax and allow your own intuition,

Your own instincts to guide you.

I want to remind you that meditation is a form of prayer.

It is a connection.

It only works if we allow it to work.

And our subconscious mind in a relaxed state will bring us messages and gifts that we may not have been planning for.

I'm going to turn off the video for me and let you enjoy.

Who is still here with you?

Who's here?

Your song in me is heard.

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am.

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am.

I bless myself,

I bless myself,

I am,

I am.

My love reached beyond my skin.

What was lost,

What was taken,

So painfully without Separation,

But you're here.

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am.

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am.

I bless myself,

I bless myself,

I am,

I am.

I bless myself,

I bless myself,

I am,

I am.

I see you in another's eyes.

You speak to me through their lips,

In their story,

In our lives.

You are here.

I am,

I am,

I am,

I am.

I want to invite you to go ahead and put your hands on your own head.

Bless yourself.

Whose hands are those?

Whose hands are blessing you?

People that came before us are taking care of us now.

Allow yourself to accept the blessings.

I am.

I am.

Who is it that you see,

That you connect with,

That's watching over you?

I'd like to invite you to thank them.

Tell them that you love them.

So much love.

I am.

I'd like to invite you to slowly open your eyes when you are ready.

I'd like you to remember who it was that you connected with,

And I hope that you will be able to see that through your eyes.

At the end of the session today,

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I'm going to give you some time with some beautiful music to go ahead and absorb.

I hope that they're out there.

I'd like to go ahead.

One of the things that I'd like to focus on during each of our meditations is grace.

Grace is something we have no matter what,

Unconditional love.

What I'd like to do right now for you guys is read a card from my grace card deck here.

Cheryl Richardson is beautiful.

These are all the cards.

I'm going to choose one.

And we'll see where it takes us.

Surprise.

Surprise.

Keep an open mind.

The influence of grace is often found in unexpected places.

Wow.

It's beautiful.

Surprise.

I'm not sure what kind of an experience you had listening to that I am song.

Was it a surprise for you?

Was it something you've experienced before?

Maybe it surprises you that it makes you cry every time.

Surprise.

Keep an open mind.

I'd like to take us through a meditation that's going to help us take this energy into our week.

Really.

Helping this love and energy stick with us.

Solidify.

Give us strength and courage as we face this week.

So let's go ahead and close our eyes.

Go ahead and close your eyes.

Feel your shoulders relax.

Feel your feet firmly planted on the ground.

I want to invite you to have your palms facing downwards right now.

Downwards on the tops of your legs.

Maybe rub your legs if you like.

Feeling that connection to the earth.

Your feet firmly planted on the ground.

Your legs strong and healthy,

Helping you walk through this life.

I want to invite you to join me for a little bit of vibrate sound healing.

I'm going to ask you to use the power of your own vocal cords.

I'm going to ask you to make a slight but powerful humming sound.

I want the hum to be so loud that it vibrates your sinuses,

The front of your face,

Your chest.

This is what it sounds like.

Now,

I can't hear you.

So you can be as loud as you want.

Or you can just listen to my voice.

But I promise you,

Allowing your own body to make a sound will help you become stronger.

I am rubbing my hands on the tops of my knees on my thighs.

When I make the humming sound,

It vibrates my hands.

Let's do it together.

We're going to do it three times.

We're going to take a deep breath in and when we exhale.

The sound of the hum that vibrates your whole body.

Ready?

Take a big breath in together.

And then we play ourselves a music.

Let's do a deep breath in together.

And then we take a deep breath in together.

And then we play ourselves a music.

I watching you.

I normally don't type out my reviews on the mediation as I enjoy all of them. This was beautifully done though outside of some of the times that I couldn't hear you that well, I just breathed through it and continued to meditate. I have heard and sang the I am song before but I will say it was a different version. The version in your meditation did make me cry it was absolutely beautiful. I'm going to add it to my Spotify. I was visited by my Nana who passed when I was in middle school.. and my aunt who passed in Sept. 2023. Thank you so much for this beautiful mediation marking it as my favorite. ⭐️🧿⭐️🫶🏾⭐️👽⭐️🪬⭐️💓
