Especially for moments of conflict in precious relationships.

The more you practice this here with me,

The more you'll be able to bring this practice to fights and arguments with people you love.

Bringing it just a little bit is enough to transform your experience of conflict.

Breathe in any discomfort you're experiencing right now.

Breathe out any goodness or comfort you're inspired to give.

And that is Tang Len,

Receiving and making space for what we usually try to avoid,

And giving what we usually try to hold on to.

So let's do it together once again.

Breathe in any pain that's there,

Perhaps anger,

Perhaps sensations of irritation.

Breathe out any comfort you're moved to share,

Perhaps understanding,

Perhaps compassion and love for yourself.

And one last time,

Breathing in any discomfort,

Breathing out any comfort.
