Find a comfortable position to sit or lie,
Allowing your body to sink a little deeper into the surface below you,
Feeling a softening in your jaw,
Feeling your hands and fingers relax slightly,
Feeling your feet and toes relax and soften,
Feeling the whole body start to give in to this mindful moment.
This is a time of rest,
Relaxation and restoration for your body,
Mind and soul and all you're doing in this moment and in this time is listening to my voice,
Listening to the music and allowing the breath,
Allowing the breath to rise and fall,
Gently,
Softly,
Creating an almost rocking sensation within your body,
Slowing the breath,
Slowing the breath and allowing this moment and this time and in this space.
And while we slow the breath right down,
We're going to lead in with some gentle affirmations.
I am calm and I am at peace.
I am calm and I am at peace.
Following your breath and imagine now that you're walking down a path and this path feels soft under your feet,
Looking at your feet and noticing that they're bare,
Feeling the sensation under your skin as you walk gently along this path.
And this path leads to an archway.
Notice what this archway looks like to you.
Notice if there are flowers.
Notice what it is made of step by step,
Breath by breath,
Heading for this archway.
And when you finally reach this archway,
You reach out your hand and touch it and then gently step through to the other side.
Through the other side is a garden just for you.
Take some time to notice the details of this space.
Everything in movement,
Colours,
Shapes.
Notice if there's trees,
If they're blowing in the breeze.
Spending a time now just walking around this garden.
And now you start to turn around and face the sky.
Noticing the clouds,
The sun,
Feeling the breeze on your skin,
Feeling that sensation of being free with nature.
You notice ahead of you a body of water and you head towards this body of water.
Noticing if the ground changes under your skin.
Noticing if the air feels different.
Step by step,
Breath by breath,
Heading towards this body of water.
And once you reach this body of water,
You sit or kneel,
Placing your hand gently into it.
Noticing how your hand feels within this water.
Noticing a change of ripples.
Noticing any cooling sensation.
And then you look into the reflection of the water.
And within this reflection,
You see yourself.
You see yourself free and clear stresses,
Worries and strains.
You see yourself for all that you are,
In all its true and beautiful glory.
You see the uniqueness that is you.
You see your soul and your spirit in this moment and in this time.
You are not your past,
You are not your future.
You just are.
Notice what this reflection looks like to you.
Notice how different you look.
Taking in the details.
Noticing any changes of how you feel within yourself.
And now,
What is it you are going to say to yourself?
What is it that you need to hear?
The first thing that comes to mind in this meditation is meant,
Do not overthink it.
Take time to see what comes.
Allowing any messages to come in words or words that are not in the words of the word.
Allowing any mental images,
Sights or sounds.
And if you do not hear anything,
That is okay.
It will come in time and it is meant even over the next few days.
Gently now.
Place your hand back in the water.
Allowing that reflection to ripple and change.
Imagining that you are scooping some of this water up in your hand.
And perhaps even placing this water over your face.
Acknowledging how it feels as you do so.
You turn and face the sky.
Breathing in deep gratitude for all that you are.
All that you have been.
And gently you rise and stand again.
And you walk back through your garden.
Step by step,
Breath by breath.
Feeling that deep connection to the essence that is you.
Knowing that you can walk with peace,
You can walk with calm.
I am calm,
I am at peace.
I am calm,
I am at peace.
Heading back towards the archway and stepping through.
Noticing the change in the earth under your feet as you step back down the path.
Heading back to yourself in this meditation.
Arriving at yourself and just taking a moment now to look at yourself as if an observer.
And send deep gratitude to yourself for all that you are,
All that you have been.
Holding yourself in a place of love.
And within the next breath,
You are standing again.
Feeling that reconnection in your body.
Becoming more aware of the rise and fall of your breath.
Bringing in a blue feeling,
Protecting light.
Imagining it covering your whole body.
Send some of this blue protective healing light to your heart centre.
Loving yourself,
Your very being,
Your very essence.
And perhaps taking a moment to send some of this also to loved ones.
Or to all things of all time if you wish.
And now just finishing with affirmations.
I am calm,
I am at peace.
I am love,
I am calm.
I am at peace,
I am love.
And you can now drift into a deep and peaceful sleep if you wish.
Or return restored and rejuvenated to your day.
Bodhicitta.
