Being the center in your own storm means that we are not rigid,

We are not straight and restricted,

We are not holding tightly to control,

We are moving and swaying and bending like the gracious trees.

We allow ourselves in all our glory like the twists and knots and turns of a tree's trunk,

The bending branches and the falling leaves.

We allow ourselves to flow with life and life's journey rather than trying to control it and resist it and resent it.

Being the center of your storm means being your anchor,

Means being grounded,

Connected and coming from a deep place of trust within yourself,

Trusting deeply in your soul,

Your heart and the essence that is you.

When we can remain in that place of trust in our journey and trust in ourselves,

We can allow ourselves to sway and float like the summer's breeze,

We can allow ourselves to be strong and unyielding in the harshest of storms and the coldest of winters,

We can allow ourselves to rebirth,

Regrow and stand in our glory.

We are not put on this earth to stand still,

We are put on this earth to be expansive.

So how do we get to that deep place of trust?

We get to that place from acceptance and letting go and forgiveness,

For seeing ourselves for all that we are,

For knowing ourselves to our core,

For seeing life from all perspectives,

From flowing rather than reacting.

And to start right here,

Right now,

In this moment,

We can become our own anchor,

Our own rock,

Our own center,

By connecting with our breath,

By reconnecting with ourselves through that breath and that energy exchange of air and of life,

Allowing that breath to ebb and flow slowly and gently,

Acknowledging ourselves as we breathe,

With gratitude for all that our body does for us,

For holding the essence of our soul and our spirit,

For allowing us to experience this life.

And so for a moment,

Breathing with that breath of gratitude,

Breathing,

Imagining that breath is traveling through your entire body and then back out,

Creating a slow body breath as we breathe,

Using the affirmations.

I am grateful for all that I am.

I am healing and I am strong.

I am grateful for all that I am and I am healing and I am strong.

I am grateful for all that I am.

I am healing and I am strong.

Keeping that whole body breath,

Feeling yourself center and ground and now focusing deep within your core and your being,

Imagining a golden light shining from within you,

Creating heat and warmth.

This light is the essence of you,

Imagining it becoming bigger and brighter,

Filling your body,

Filling every cell of your being,

Expanding,

Growing,

Going beyond you even,

Until you are this light,

Connecting with the oneness of all,

Connecting with the essence and the vibration of love and light.

And just for the next few moments,

Flowing with this light of love and life,

Connecting,

Grounding yourself,

Expanding.

And now follow this love,

Light.

Follow it as if it is leading the way to show you,

Part of your purpose,

Part of your journey,

Part of your knowing.

Follow it,

Feeling the sensations within your body,

Noticing colours,

Shapes,

Colours,

Noticing where you are going,

Where you are being led,

Seeing the beauty being revealed before you in this journey of love light,

Floating,

Being,

Just being,

Being with this love light,

This journey and this time.

And as you return back to your body,

Reconnecting with yourself,

Becoming aware of your body and your breath and the air around you,

Just breathing gently here for a moment with the affirmations,

I trust in myself and I trust in my journey,

I trust in myself and I trust in my journey,

I trust in myself and I trust in my journey.

Allowing yourself to know this deep sense of trust is always within you,

You are your own anchor,

You are your own centre no matter the storm,

You can trust in yourself,

You can trust in your journey,

You can slowly return to your day walking with this new found trust or if you wish you may drift into a deep and peaceful sleep,

Waking knowing that you walk with that trust.
