I was watching the autumn leaves as they turned a beautiful rust,
Red and golden hues of yellow,
Watching the thriving activity of nature creating change ready for the winter to come.
And I was considering the trees and nature preparing for winter and how fear plays a role in our life.
If you consider the trees for example,
They do not fear the season ahead.
They embrace it knowing that it's part of a life cycle,
Allowing the new beginnings and the new endings.
Knowing that with each frost or heat,
It allows a change in dimension within its root systems,
Within its growth,
Within its moment of what it gives back to us within its own self.
And so when we approach a life through rigidity of fear,
We resist the very change and healing within ourselves.
We prolong our healing.
We keep our past in our present and so most of our past is never truly in our past,
It's always in the now.
And fear is our attachment to information to this day and our mind trying to keep us in that place of safety by being on high alert.
But if we can come back to that inner deep trust in ourselves and trust in our journey,
It can be easier to be present.
It can be easier to be witness to situations and circumstances rather than taking part.
It can be easier to heal and grow and see things for what they were rather than what they were not.
And so allowing yourself for a moment to be more like the tree preparing for the winter.
Being present in the fully now.
Feeling your deep root system of belief in who you are,
Trusting in yourself to navigate the next seasons and exchanges.
And allowing that full beautiful growth that comes from each moment that you experience.
Knowing that through the other side of any experience,
You become richer,
Fuller,
More expansive.
You're more able to come to a place of peace and simply be.
And so whether the next moment in your life is like a beautiful wave that rides in the sunlight,
Creating prisms of light,
Or whether it's a crashing storm,
Both will allow growth and clearing and healing.
And when we can see things from that perspective,
It can free us a little more.
And so wishing you this moment to come back to yourself.
Come back to trusting in yourself for all that you are and all that you have been.
And knowing that with each breath and with each step,
You can come back to that place of trust in yourself.
