Landing.
I often reflect on how we arrive at places,
Destinations,
Relationships and life even,
But we don't truly land.
We operate as if we're in a holding pattern on an aircraft,
Moving above a city or destination,
And hovering,
For fear of landing due to the turbulent life below,
Due to the holding pattern that others place on us.
And by hovering,
By not truly landing,
We miss the very essence and the beauty that is.
So how often can we land and truly feel?
And it's no wonder that we choose to hover or put ourselves in our own holding pattern above our life,
Because landing means sitting in the actual emotion,
Facing the journey that is us not choosing to change some of our pathways.
And so we force ourselves to just hover rather than truly be.
And by doing this,
We actually force ourselves further and further and further away from our true self and our true being.
I was thinking about a friend of mine who only had a couple of days left before her passing.
We'd sat outside facing the warm,
Full sun wrapped in layers of blankets.
And she had this sheer expression of joy on her face.
And in that moment,
She truly,
Truly landed.
While others around her were hovering in a state of panic and grief.
She was that moment,
The moment of the sun,
The moment of the four colours,
The moment observing and loving the family around her.
And in that moment,
I was truly landed.
I could join in that joy and magnificent wonder of life that was and love that was.
I was truly present and connected with my friend in one of those last moments in our human form in this life.
And so considering are you landed?
Are you fully present?
Or are you choosing to put yourself in a holding pattern and hover?
Might allow you the opportunity to look at your healing and your trauma from a different perspective.
Might allow you to consider landing and touching down at some points in your life.
Consider clearing the turbulence of your life,
The storms and the weathers.
Creating a safe space to land and touch down,
Even if it's just for a moment or two to begin with,
Before you fully consider landing and being present.
Because you are worthy of walking from that full presence in your life,
That true being of wonderment and joy.
You are worthy of letting go and walking from acceptance.
I'm wishing you a day full of joy,
Wishing you moments of landing in your life and experiencing the full wonder.
And wishing you moments of letting go and freeing yourself from some of your pain.
Wishing you a heartfelt day.
