This is Minao.

Welcome to What Came First?

The Feelings or the Thoughts?

The intention of this meditation is to journey to an awareness of the strong relationship between your feelings and your thoughts,

With the objective to move to a place to honor the connection between them and to become in full alignment with both your thoughts and your feelings.

So,

Let's explore.

What came first?

The feelings or the thoughts?

I thought so I felt.

Or I felt so I thought.

I will provide a moment for your reflection.

Wonderful.

Did you think thoughts came first?

I was sitting peacefully and then started thinking about my life and became concerned.

You are right.

Did you think feelings came first?

I was sitting peacefully and my pet cuddled me,

Which made me feel loved.

And I thought to myself,

I just love this puppy.

You are right too.

It is both.

Sometimes we feel,

Which provokes thoughts,

And sometimes we think,

Which provokes feelings.

The truth of the matter is,

It truly is irrelevant which came first.

What is relevant is how you feel.

And what is relevant is how you think.

And what is relevant is that they are closely tied together.

There is power in our awareness of this connection.

Our focus towards understanding if our thoughts provoked our feelings or if our feelings provoked our thoughts.

This is pure power.

The awareness and the purposefulness and focus of feeling good and guiding your thoughts to thoughts that empower you.

This is where your power lies.

There is a movement in society to be positive,

Optimistic,

And to have a sunny side thinking.

However,

Positive thoughts do not always honor your feelings.

And this can often lead to resentment,

Anger,

Or feeling of being disconnected.

This is what is called toxic positivity.

Instead,

What serves is shifting to empowering thoughts,

Thoughts that honor your feelings.

Growth-oriented and self-empowering thoughts that honor,

Acknowledge,

And appreciate all your feelings,

And then guide you to a place of peace to drive you forward.

This is achieved by learning to understand yourself,

By becoming aware of your body,

Becoming aware of your thoughts,

And understanding your patterns,

Feeling thoughts or thoughts feelings.

Let's explore together.

We will start with three grounding breaths.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Take a second deep breath in and release.

And take a third and final deep breath in and release.

Become aware of your being.

Approach this connection as a third person objectively observing from a place of genuine interest and curiosity.

Connect with your physical sensations.

Connect with your mind.

Trust that your body will guide you.

Ask yourself,

Does your mind honor your feelings?

Do you quickly move to positivity without honoring your emotional journey?

Does your mind lead with fear,

Stress,

Guilt,

And anxiety stories?

Victim stories?

Explore.

Try to remain objective.

I will provide the space for your exploration.

Wonderful.

Honor this awareness.

Challenge your desire towards alignment of emotions and thoughts.

Let go of any resistance you may have connected with.

Resistant feelings of not honoring yourself,

Your emotions,

Your thoughts,

Or your alignment.

Take a deep breath in and release.

Release.

Release.

Feel all the resistance that you connected with from your body.

Wonderful.

Surrender to the universe.

If you feel unsure,

Trust that your intention will invite all that is for your highest good at this moment.

And at this point,

Let us lead with some intentions.

The intention to honor your body,

Heart,

Mind,

And ego.

The intention to honor the relationships between thoughts and feelings.

The intention to recognize that at times,

Feelings may invoke thoughts.

The intention to recognize that at times,

Thoughts may invoke feelings.

The intention to find alignment between feelings and thoughts.

The intention towards alignment that is self-empowering and growth-oriented to access harmony,

Peace,

Self-worth,

Love,

And freedom.

The intention to honor and appreciate yourself on this journey of self-awareness,

Discovery,

Growth,

And truth.

Take a moment to allow these intentions to integrate and create any personal intentions for the alignment of your body,

Heart,

Mind,

And ego.

And now,

Surrender these desires to the universe and celebrate your journey to allow them to manifest.

Shower your heart with the universal healing light.

Imagine this beautiful light embracing you with its rich,

Healing,

And loving radiance.

Once again,

If you are unsure,

Trust your intention.

Trust your intention.

Shower your full body with the universal light of harmony,

Alignment,

Peace,

Self-worth,

Love,

And freedom.

Many of these intentions will integrate immediately,

And some may take the time that is best for your highest good.

Be compassionate as your body,

Heart,

Mind,

And ego recalibrate to invoke harmony,

Peace,

And alignment.
