The inner voice.
I know there are times when you get very confused in your earthly journey.
One voice says,
Come here,
This is the way.
Another voice challenges,
No,
This is the way,
Follow me.
And then there may be voices rattling around in your head.
One voice says one thing,
Another voice something else.
And then a third and a fourth,
None of them agree.
The more you think about it,
The worst it gets.
It's overwhelming.
And then perhaps you remember to close your eyes and go within where you find a voice that knows.
I invite you to gently close your eyes or open if you prefer.
Take several deep breaths,
Just focusing on your breath for just a moment.
Just focusing on your breath for just a moment.
And knowing that as you inhale,
You are breathing in light,
And as you exhale,
You're letting go of darkness and confusion.
Simply notice the coolness through light as you breathe it in,
And as you exhale,
Notice the warmth as you breathe out.
Just breathe for a moment.
If anything else appears,
Simply let it float by.
Knowing that the spirit,
Mind and body are one,
It is an opportunity to notice where the confusion shows up in your body.
For just a moment,
I invite you to scan your body from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet.
And notice where you feel unease,
Pain or stress.
Possibly a headache from confusion,
Or wanting to cry and don't dare.
You might notice your jaw is clenched from fear of saying what you want to say,
And no one will listen.
You may notice the ache in your ears,
And you want to stop the voices both outside and inside.
It's too much.
Perhaps there's a strange smell.
You might notice a frown on your lips.
There might be a catch or a lump in your throat,
Knowing that no one is going to listen to what you say anyway.
You feel the sadness.
There is a memory of something that happened some time ago,
And still gets triggered at times,
And brings the feeling of discomfort or unease or anxiety.
And you may wonder,
Why is it like this,
This remembered negative past and future fear?
I invite you to join me as we travel inward,
And simply notice a gentle path leading into a beautiful forest.
We'll start with five.
Notice your path is surrounded with sweet-smelling vibrant flowers.
Allow yourself to be deeply relaxed,
Deeply relaxed.
Four.
As you continue on this lovely path,
A little white rabbit joins you.
You kneel to touch his exquisite soft white hair,
And enjoy the wiggling of his nose.
And now,
A wonderful deep breath,
And exhale any stress.
Three.
And the rabbit accompanies you as you move along your path,
Deeper into the forest.
And you notice a beautiful mother deer,
And her fawn joining you on your right.
You enjoy petting the soft fur of the mother deer,
And the little fawn nuzzles your hand.
And you're more deeply relaxed than you've ever been.
Two.
As you move more deeply into the forest,
You can hear the singing of the birds above you as they call to each other in the tops of the trees.
Allow yourself to relax.
And one.
You can feel the gentle breeze as it rustles the leaves of the trees.
And you're more deeply relaxed than you've ever been.
And now before you,
A beautifully carved door.
You are the only one that has the key.
I invite you to insert this glowing key.
Open the latch,
And go inside.
A beautiful garden.
Wonderful.
Vibrating.
Sweet smelling flowers of every color,
With its own vibration of light.
Trees of every kind.
Spruce with its woodsy smell.
Aspen with its white bark and autumn colored leaves of green,
Yellow,
Orange,
And red.
You feel the warmth of the sun on your skin.
You feel safe,
Peaceful,
And curious.
Perhaps you feel a tingling of expectancy.
You gradually become aware you're not alone.
From the distance,
You notice a glowing figure.
As the figure approaches you,
They look directly into your eyes.
Gently place their hand on your heart.
And whispers,
You are love.
You just forgot.
Someplace deep inside,
You know this is truth.
There is a voice of truth within you.
That inner voice.
And it is possible to let go of all those outside voices.
They are not you.
And so,
Feeling safe,
Peaceful,
And easy.
Knowing that something powerful has occurred.
When you're ready,
Allow yourself to come back into the now.
Knowing in a deep place,
All is well.
And so you are.
