Welcome to Quiet Confidence.
I invite you to come to a standing position for this meditation,
To Tadasana or Mountain Pose as we would say in yoga.
Maybe as you come into this position you give your fingers and your toes a little wiggle,
Maybe take your jaw from side to side a couple of times,
Let your shoulders drop,
Turn your palms to face forwards,
Close your eyes softly and settle into this stillness.
Feel both your feet press firmly to the floor,
Feeling your weight even across toes and heels.
Feel the energy of the earth beneath your feet,
Maybe this feels like a tingling sensation or a warmth,
Maybe something else entirely.
Feel that energy start to rise up into the soles of your feet,
Your toes,
Your ankles,
Rising up your lower legs to your knees,
Your thighs,
Your hips.
Feel that energy in your tummy,
Your lower back,
Noticing how it makes you feel and then running up your spine to your chest and your shoulders,
Maybe your shoulders relax even more now.
Letting that energy slide down towards your hands,
Into the centre of each palm,
Into each fingertip.
Then feeling that earthly energy in your neck,
Your face,
The crown of your head.
Feel yourself grounded and rooted to the earth,
Yet tall and rising,
Your crown lifting towards the sky,
The energy beating in your heart.
Feel the sturdiness of your posture,
The strength of your body,
The power of your own heartbeat.
Each breath is yours.
You are alert and fully present,
But also relaxed and at ease.
Your mind calm and focused.
You are here now,
In this moment.
Now bringing your awareness to your breath.
I'm consciously starting to breathe a little deeper now,
Making each inhale a little slower,
A little fuller.
Each exhale getting longer,
Softer,
Taking your time to fill up your lungs and noticing the journey of your breath.
And then following each exhale right to the very end.
There's no rush,
No haste,
Just you and your breath.
With each inhale,
Feel yourself drawing in more energy from the earth.
With each exhale,
Releasing any tension or self-doubt that you might have been holding on to.
You are here.
You are supported.
With each inhale,
Using this earthly energy to fill you with confidence.
Each exhale,
Releasing anything you don't want or need to hold on to.
Imagine this energy wrapping itself around you now,
Encasing around your outline,
Creating a soft,
Shimmering shell of protective energy,
Protecting you,
Your breath,
Your presence.
As you stand in this stillness,
Repeat silently to yourself,
I am steady.
I am strong and unshakable.
Confidence,
Like energy,
Flows through me with ease.
I am steady.

Like energy,
Flows through me with ease.
And notice how your body responds to these words.
Maybe your spine grows a little bit taller,
Your breath flows smoother,
More ease.
And if a thought of doubt arises,
Imagine it releasing on your next exhale.
You don't need to hold on to it.
Your protective shell of energy shimmering around you as you remain calm,
Steady and grounded.
You can draw on as much strength and confidence from the earth as you need.
Knowing that you are calm,
You are capable,
You are confident,
You have what you need around and within you.
Take another round of breath here and let those words settle and fill you,
Your protective shell shimmering.
Feel your feet on the ground,
Connecting you to the energy of the earth.
Staying here for as long as you need.
And when you are ready,
Gently bringing your arms,
Your hands to your chest and taking a moment in gratitude to the earth and to yourself.
Then with some slow movements,
Coming back into your day.
Your protective shell still in place.
You are here now.
You are calm.
You are capable.
You are confident.
