Visualise yourself walking along your favourite beach,
Listening to the sounds of the water,
Noticing the smells in your nose,
The feeling of your feet on the sand,
The warmth or the coolness.
Or if it's a pebble beach,
Maybe you can feel the smoothness of the thyme and weather-worn pebbles.
Maybe you can feel a breeze on your skin,
Noticing the softness of the light,
Taking a moment to be in this place that is meaningful to you.
Then find a spot on the beach,
A comfortable place to sit down and look out over the water,
A spot that is calling to you to take a pause.
Notice your sit bones,
Your spine,
Let your shoulders relax and your jaw soften.
Settle into a rhythm of breath that feels supportive to you.
As you look out across the water,
See it moving,
The waves,
The ripples,
The movement of the water.
And as you continue to look out,
You see dancing on the surface of the water a rainbow,
A bright colourful rainbow of light,
Sparkling out in the distance.
Noticing first the warming burst of red and feeling that warming red light within you,
Noticing where in your body you feel that red light.
Then orange,
Visualising the vibrancy of the orange light,
Glowing out towards you and through your body,
A vibrant orange light.
Then yellow,
A cheerful sunshine yellow,
Shimmering on the surface of the water,
Feeling that sunshine yellow light within you and flowing all around you.
Then you see green,
Noticing the nurturing green light and feeling that nurturing green light within your body.
Then blue,
A strong,
Brilliant blue,
Feeling the strength of this brilliant blue light shimmering within your body.
Then flowing into a calming,
Soothing indigo,
Feeling the soothing indigo light flowing through you.
Then violet,
A sparkling violet light that dances on the water and feeling that dancing,
Sparkling violet light within you.
Feeling these different colours glowing,
Sparkling and radiating within you,
Giving you warmth,
Vibrancy,
Strength and calmness.
Noticing where in your body they resonate with you today,
Feeling their nurturing energies,
Their rebalancing and restorative powers.
Feeling the flow of the colours from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet,
This rainbow of light and wonder within you now.
Now tuning into any sensations at the crown of your head,
Visualising a beam of bright white light starting to enter your body there,
Letting this white light flow down through you towards your feet,
Letting this white light carry with it fresh,
New energy for the rest of your day.
Let it release anything stagnant or caught up,
Let any energy you wish to let go of release out through the soles of your feet.
Feel this fresh energy,
This fresh white light spread through your body and let it bring a soft smile to your lips.
Then bring your awareness gently back to your breath,
Your supportive breath.
Breath,
Taking a few rounds of conscious,
Deeper inhales and exhales.
And then when you're ready,
Bringing some soft movement back into your fingers and toes,
Letting yourself gently return ready for the rest of your day.
