This is time for you to feel comfortable and calm.
Get into a comfortable position in bed,
Lay your head down on your pillow,
Place a blanket over you to feel warm and cosy.
Allow the muscles in your face to relax.
Unclench your jaw,
Gently close your eyes.
Imagine that all of the muscles in your body are beginning to relax.
Imagine that you are physically releasing the pressure in every muscle throughout your body as you take a deep calming breath in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Allowing fresh soothing air to flow in through your nose and the tension within your body to be released as you exhale.
Relaxing every part of your body,
From your head to your toes.
Imagine that you can see any stress leaving your body with every deep breath in and out.
Letting go of any stress,
Your aches and pains are leaving your body.
Every muscle is becoming more and more relaxed.
Your entire body is sinking into the comfortable surface below you.
You are perfectly comfortable and content in this moment.
And you will be able to fall asleep with this feeling of pure happiness and peace covering your whole body.
So now that you are relaxed,
I want to take you through a beautiful,
Peaceful walk along the beach.
Imagine that you are looking out to a blissful beach.
Beneath your toes is golden soft sand,
It's smooth and warm,
And with every step that you take you feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed.
As you are walking towards where the ocean waves meet this golden sand,
Each and every step is making you feel more and more relaxed.
Notice how this warm sand fills beneath your toes.
As you look out to the horizon,
You see the most sensational sunset that you have ever seen.
As the sun is setting in front of you,
It leaves a burning orange glaze across the sky.
The beautiful sky meets the bright blue ocean as it glistens and shines.
You feel yourself breathing deeply,
Breathing in the salty sea air,
And breathing out all of your worries and cares.
Breathing in this calmness,
And breathing out all stress.
Your body feels so peaceful in this beautiful place.
Just watching this bright sun as it slowly lowers into the clear waves.
This beautiful orange sky,
Fading into the waves.
The waves are gently pulling away and slowly rolling back over the sand.
You listen as the waves are rolling in and out.
You feel completely calm and relaxed at this beautiful,
Blissful beach.
