Welcome.

My name is Abigail Morrissey Reardon from Set on Shine Wellness.

Today I will introduce you to Ajna Chakra by providing information and context.

Then I will lead you through meditation to bring this chakra into balance.

Ajna or the third eye chakra is the sixth of the seven chakras.

Ajna translates to command in Sanskrit.

This center is located between the eyebrows slightly above in the middle of the forehead.

Like the name in Sanskrit implies,

Ajna is a governing force and the command center.

It governs your perception of the world.

This is where reflection,

Intuition,

And knowledge live.

The element associated with Ajna is light.

The chakra color associated with the third eye is indigo.

Ajna Chakra is in charge of your intuition,

Your connection to the divine,

And your connection to your spirit or soul.

The seed sound of this chakra is AAAAAA.

Chakra imbalances occur as an excess or deficiency in energy.

Excessive energy of Ajna Chakra can manifest as being judgmental,

Having anxiety,

Mental overwhelm,

Lack of clarity and thoughts,

And excessive daydreaming.

Deficient energy in the third chakra can show up as a lack of concentration,

Disconnection from the universe and the divine intelligence,

Lack of intuition,

Disconnection from a larger picture,

And an inability to self-reflect.

When the third eye chakra is balanced,

Your mind is open and you are able to have deeper understandings and access divine wisdom.

Intuition is heightened,

As is your ability to perceive subtle qualities.

When open and balanced,

You are able to be self-reflective and examine,

Connecting to the element of light,

Whether it is the Sun,

The Moon,

Or the stars,

Will help to bring balance to the third eye chakra.

Ylang Ylang and lavender essential oils can help balance Ajna Chakra.

You are wise,

You are connected to your inner wisdom and guidance,

You trust your intuition,

And you are connected to universal intelligence.

I invite you now to join me in a meditation to bring Ajna Chakra into balance.

Find a comfortable position,

Whatever that means to you.

Allow your body to relax.

Feel the earth supporting you,

Holding your body up.

Close your eyes.

This is your time.

Relax into this moment.

Notice any sounds outside of the room.

Acknowledge them and let them go.

Acknowledge any sounds inside of the room and then let them go.

Let your body relax.

Release your scalp and forehead.

Relax your face and jaw.

Drop your shoulders.

Feel them relax.

Relax your arms and hands.

Let them soften.

Release your feet.

Let your whole body relax.

Bring your attention now to your breath,

Noticing your breath in and your breath out.

With each breath in,

Visualize breathing in cleansing energy and as you breathe out,

Visualize tension leaving the body.

Allow your breath to fall into its own natural rhythm,

Not trying to control it in any way.

Breathing in relaxation.

Breathing out tension.

Breathing in relaxation.

Breathing out tension.

If thoughts intrude,

Allow them to float by.

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out tension.

Now move your focus to the space in between your eyebrows,

In the middle of the forehead.

Visualize an indigo swirling light.

This light is your inner knowing,

Your intuition,

And inner truth.

This light connects you to the universe.

See the light swirling and swirling,

Growing faster and faster,

Getting bigger in size as it swirls out from your forehead,

Getting bigger and bigger,

Expanding outside of your body.

As the indigo light continues to swirl,

Feel your sense of intuition becoming stronger and stronger.

Feel connected to your inner knowing,

Strengthening the connection to yourself and your soul.

Silently repeat to yourself,

I am wise.

I am connected to my inner wisdom and guidance.

I trust my intuition and I am connected to universal intelligence.

Bring your attention back to the space between your eyebrows and see the healing indigo swirling light getting smaller and smaller,

Coming back down to be the size of a grape.

You are bringing the chakra back down to its normal function.

Silently repeat to yourself,

My ajna chakra is opened and healed.

It is working at a normal function.

Then let go of the image and bring your awareness back to the flow of your breath,

Noticing the in-breath and the out-breath,

And starting to become aware of your full body again.

Bringing your attention to your toes and your fingers,

Wiggling them back and forth,

Maybe rocking your hips from side to side and giving your shoulders a shrug.

And then when you feel ready,

You can open your eyes and return back to the room.
