Life is full of love, but how exactly do we experience love in our bodies and minds? In this meditation, we are asked to bring to mind something that you love - maybe it’s a special yoga class or the little plant on your desk - so that you can tune into the felt experience of love and get to know it on a deeper level. By practising this meditation regularly, you will experience more love in your life.

Sitting down on a sofa or a chair or on the floor.

Making sure that you're sitting upright but that you are at the same time feeling comfortable.

So if you do need a back support to feel comfortable,

Make sure you are using one.

Now closing your eyes and bring your attention to your breath.

Feeling your breath moving into your nostrils as you're breathing in,

Down your throat,

Feeling your lungs and belly.

Then feeling your breath moving out of your body again as you're breathing out.

Following the gentle movement of your breath.

One breath at a time.

And now bring to mind something that you really love.

Maybe that's a certain place in nature.

A piece of art or the coffee shop you go to every day.

Or something completely different.

Simply know that you love this thing.

So bringing to mind this thing that you love.

And see if you can see it in front of you.

Or imagine yourself with it in some other way.

Notice as you imagine yourself with this thing how it makes you feel inside of your body.

Dropping into your body and sensing love.

Letting yourself feel love.

Maybe you can feel your chest expanding.

Maybe you can feel butterflies in your belly.

Or maybe your mouth has taken on the form of a gentle smile.

How does it make you feel to love something?

And if your mind wanders away from this practice,

Attention back to this thing that you love.

Letting yourself fully feel love.

And then in your own time letting go of this thing that you love and letting it fade away.

And return to your breath.

How is your breath now?

How is your in breath and how is your out breath?

Following the breath.

One breath at a time.

And then when you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes and coming back.
