So let's begin by just sitting comfortably with your eyes open and just with a soft gaze directly in front of you.
Now without moving your head,
Bring your gaze slightly upwards and focus on the space above the monitor.
Now as you notice that space,
Begin to gently expand your peripheral vision equally to each side.
As your vision begins to open,
You can also start to include hearing to the sides and a felt sense of awareness behind you.
You can begin to feel a sense of a panoramic awareness.
Space behind,
Space to the left,
Space to the right,
Space in front,
Space within.
And from this feeling of open space behind,
You can begin to lower your gaze and look at the computer screen.
Just remaining undistracted,
Sustaining the panoramic feeling of spacious awareness.
And notice how you can focus on a task and remain engaged without effort.
The feeling is that the open space is what's focusing effortlessly.
Three hundred and sixty degree awareness,
Sit comfortably looking directly in front of you.
And notice how seeing is similar to hearing.
Your ears just receive sound and even as you look at the screen in front of you,
Light is reflected from that screen to your eyes.
So there's no need to go out to see.
Seeing is receiving,
Going through your eyes directly to this open field of awareness.
From that open field of awareness,
Able to focus effortlessly without needing to concentrate.
