So this is called meditation without an object or non meditation or meditation without a meditator.
So if you just place your body on a chair,
Just allow your body to feel like it's resting in a way that it doesn't need to move.
And in fact it doesn't really have any job to do at all.
So you don't even need to keep it still.
Just let your body be as it is.
No big deal.
Just like your ears that remain open and can hear without any effort.
Just allow all your other senses to be the same way.
Just being without a need to do anything,
To know anything,
To create anything without even a need to meditate.
And allow your mind to be open like your ears as well.
Just open.
No need to even remember any instructions.
No need to notice anything,
To control anything,
To make any effort to do anything right.
So just being in a way that being begins to rest as itself.
So the mind can be natural,
The body can be natural,
And beingness can rest as this awakeness.
So just sitting,
Being with everything just as it is.
Any thought that arises,
Any emotion,
Any sensation is not being done by you.
Even the thought that begins with I am or I want or I shouldn't.
Just letting it happen,
Arising without intention,
Even a response you may begin to notice is just a reaction.
So just resting without a meditator,
Tuning in and finding that which already is not doing anything,
Which knows without knowing,
That sees without being in any one place.
There's nothing you can do wrong.
It's just happening.
Who you are is not doing anything.
Breathing is happening,
Thoughts may be happening,
Hearing naturally happening.
Who do they appear to?
Where is the hearer?
And in finding nothing,
That's the supreme sight.
Resting is that in which everything comes and goes,
Which includes that which comes and goes.
Experience appears.
What does it appear to?
The pond may be settling.
The sky may be full of birds or clouds or storms.
Just letting the natural weather happen.
