Hey there,
My name is Lisa and welcome to your manifesting self-compassion and self-acceptance mirror meditation.
This world knows self-hatred all too well and it really comes from internalizing our external experiences when it comes to criticism,
When it comes to judgment,
When it comes to even violence if we've ever experienced it.
When you have made friends and really have gotten to know your own self-hatred,
It's very easy to hear words like self-acceptance and self-love and either want to get angry or triggered or gag,
But manifesting an ability to have compassion for yourself even in the most frustrating times and accept yourself even in times when you aren't proud of yourself or your journey is the ability to give yourself space to grow,
To evolve,
To learn and to live happier without the weight of self-judgment and criticism and shame shackling onto you like a desperate crab in the sea.
So with that,
I invite you to come into a comfortable seated position or lie on down,
But if you would like you can even stand in front of a mirror,
Have a mirror right in front of you as you are sitting or if you are lying down with the eyes closed,
Invite yourself to also imagine yourself when I cue you into the practice to do so.
So go ahead and find your position and take a nice big deep inhale into your body,
Breathing on in and exhale,
Sigh on out.
Take a nice big deep inhale and exhale,
Sigh out.
And last big deep inhale into your body and exhale.
Just allow yourself to be here.
And if you are aware of sounds of the outside world,
Be aware until you are slowly ready to let go and tune on in to the vibrations and feelings and sounds of your internal world,
Allowing yourself to let the outside world go.
And ask yourself how are you feeling today,
Physically,
Emotionally,
What thoughts are playing throughout your head,
Allow your mind,
Body and spirit to have a voice at this present moment and just share authentically as you observe,
As you allow yourself to just listen.
And when you are ready,
If you are working with a mirror,
Take in the image of yourself and if you are lying down with the eyes closed,
Begin to visualize yourself,
Be aware of the body and where you are at in this space right now,
Your eyes,
Your lips,
Your nose,
Your body,
See your chest rise and fall.
With every inhale and every exhale,
Dare to look yourself directly in the eye,
Breathe in to whatever you are feeling at this moment,
Allowing your breath to guide you into processing all that you are right here.
And from this space,
As you gaze upon yourself,
As you look yourself in the eye,
Repeat to yourself,
I am sorry,
I am sorry.
You can even pause the audio and share all that you truly want to apologize to yourself for,
Honestly and authentically.
Take a nice big deep inhale and exhale,
Gaze upon yourself and your body,
Repeat,
Please forgive me,
Please forgive me.
And feel free to pause and share all that you wish to forgive,
All that you wish to say I understand,
And you can feel free to pause the audio if you wish.
Taking a nice big deep inhale and exhale,
Repeating to yourself,
I thank you,
I thank you.
And what do you wish to thank yourself for?
And you can feel free to pause the audio and truly thank yourself.
Take a nice big deep breath in and exhale,
Letting go,
Allowing yourself to say,
Looking yourself in the eyes,
I love you,
I love you.
And where do you wish to send love to yourself,
And what do you love yourself for?
You can even pause and share all that you love and why you love yourself.
Taking a nice big deep breath in and exhale,
Begin to really visualize the energy of love allowing you to embrace all that you are.
You can repeat the words,
I embrace myself,
And you may find yourself having trouble really believing some of these words,
But by saying these words with authenticity,
You are planting the seeds within yourself to recognizing why you are inspiring,
Why you are worthy of freeing yourself from any limiting beliefs.
And whether you are gazing into a mirror or internally gazing within yourself,
Set an intention,
Whatever that is for you for this moment.
Allow this intention to be the water and soil for this practice,
And really live this intention.
Feel free to place both hands on your heart,
Taking a nice big deep breath in and exhale,
Sigh out,
Let go,
And slowly connect the world of your intention and this wisdom of the meditation to the world around you.
And I thank you so much for taking the time to practice with me,
My friend.
This is not an easy practice,
And this is something you can do every day.
I promise you,
This is the hardest that it may be,
And it gets easier and really more healing from this point.
Take a moment of pride for just being here and practicing.
So many blessings,
And namaste.
