Lisa leads a guided 16-minute rest, exploring sensations in the body using awareness of different parts of the body and the breath. Please know this is a spontaneous, organic recording and so it has some back ground noises from time to time, like life! (All recordings have been created for clients & groups- shared here for easy access. I am slowly starting to work on improving quality. Please know these are not polished recordings!)

You know acknowledging to thoughts that yeah,

I know that you want to know things I know you want to figure out you know that left brain.

Yeah,

I get it.

I get you want to you Yeah,

You basically they they want to scare us into action or try to get us engaged to figure out or strategize or analyze or Mental yeah,

It's like you okay left brain.

I get it But I'm gonna give I'm gonna give the rest of my system some attention,

And I'll be back to you soon enough In this moment,

I'm just gonna try to connect with the right brain and gonna connect to breath Let let breathing be noticed experienced And so bringing this attention and for you just notice what is most useful for you You know you can you can follow the instructions of my words,

But they don't have to be strictly following my words Maybe there's a slight deviation.

That's okay So in this moment,

I'm just gonna invite you to just follow my words if they resonate Just feeling the breath come in To your system however it does nose mouth however.

It's not a right and wrong And of course that the exhalation will happen But for a moment,

I want you to really study how the inhalation and the exhalation how the air comes in and out So it's like if you could imagine gluing your attention to a molecule of air as it comes through the nostril And it follows it all the way in down the throat through the chest through the belly then back out And you're just going to study for a moment the journey of this molecule of oxygen as it travels The inhalation Is experienced in lots of ways all the way from those nostrils Down and you know into the throat the chest moving the belly moving And Then as the air leaves the body The body moves again.

You know again the belly moving the chest moving through the throat through the nostrils So as that molecule of oxygen passes through The whole there's a whole series of aliveness responses That just organically happen as part of this mechanism of breath And The mind might come in to evaluate these mechanisms that might come in to evaluate Different experiences of breath and when that happens you just acknowledge that okay.

That's my left brain It's just it's designed to critique It's designed to have an opinion to label things And then come back to the just the simplistic exchange of air And the most simplistic organic movements that just happen on their own with a breathing mechanism And In this moment,

There's nothing to do nowhere to go nothing to figure out Just a noticing of that which is already happening It's no awareness of the happening that's already underway as This mechanism knows how to breathe and it just breathes on its own and then we so to speak can watch it or it can be noticed this breathing Bring some curiosity in to this noticing like wow This body does know how to breathe on its own like I'm literally being breathed by this happening And then we can just watch it and then we can just watch it and then we can just watch it and then we can just Watch it on its own like I'm literally being breathed by this happening It's a mystery of how this human being is designed and how it does what it does It's got its own wisdom a thousand times over And we get to be privy to noticing it to be aware of the genius of this design And the body knows how to do what it's doing the breath knows how to do what it's doing without Help from the mind and that doesn't mean the mind doesn't come in and try to insert itself anyway But the truth is that we don't need the mind to know how to breathe because we breathe when we're sleeping We don't need the mind to tell us how to do it And our bodies have its own wisdom And we can be aware of that As we kind of zoom out a bit to just the mechanism of breath That's already underway I'm just continuing to feel the breath come into the body And the breath leave the body in all the ways that the body receives that Exchange or moves with that exchange or experiences breath And instead of trying to critique or judge just have curiosity of and wonderment of just how it's doing what it's doing And just trying to be aware of that Instead of trying to critique or judge just have curiosity of and wonderment of just how it's doing what it's doing It is a big mystery And just bringing attention a little bit lower I'm just going to kind of focus a little bit lower for with the breath into the belly and kind of the lower area including the sit bones and the hips and the Pelvic floor kind of the sphere what I call like a lower sphere Just consciously feeling the breath still move through but also bringing in a little bit of more gravity The feeling the weight of the body here The sit bones making contact as well as the breath making contact however it is And you can even use your imagination you can imagine Breathing into the sit bones breathing into this chair Every time a thought comes Any kind of mentaling happening referencing past future something Just acknowledge that okay.

Yeah,

That's just yeah,

That's mental.

That's what those are words as our thoughts Doing what the mind does and then bring attention back to the breath this breath now This breath now The sit bones that are here now The lower belly How the breath moves into this area the sphere and Just so in case the sound isn't good.

It's s p h e r e that I'm saying sphere Just breathing into this And just breathing into this This breath This set of sit bones and belly pelvic floor This chair couch supporting your system Gravity doing what it does And just letting any release any holding that's happening that can be released release And just letting any release any holding that's happening that can be released release Sometimes we contract inwards we don't even notice it until we bring attention to the muscles with the skeleton skeletal system Like oh,

Can I can I really release efforting or holding or contracting and let this couch or chair really support me Let this breath really support me Let this breath really support me Breathing in fresh air and breathing out old air Breathing in fresh air and releasing anything that doesn't need to be here Feeling down through the legs feeling the legs on the couch or the chair Feeling down through the legs feeling the legs on the couch or the chair The grounding there Imagine breathing into the legs making your way down through the knees to the lower legs just in your own time Imagine breathing into the legs making your way down through the knees to the lower legs just in your own time Eventually getting down to your feet However,

They are if they're on the floor great if they're propped up that's fine if they're under you that's fine,

Too Feeling the presence of them imagine that you can breathe through the bottoms of your feet and just feeling the breath and the feet connecting If you were standing I would say notice the gravity that you feel in the feet But when we're sitting we feel more gravity in the butt,

But when we're standing we feel the the weight of gravity in our feet But even while sitting you can still feel that contact that feet have Just really feeling this energy of feet there's like our legs are like our root system And underneath our feet is another root system that's energetic one might say to the earth and Gravity And we can just use our imagination with that just to help ground ourselves here in this moment on this earth That is holding us in every moment In ways that are really a mystery in a lot of ways It's being using that right brain curiosity not even knowing the whys or the what's just just playing here breathing feeling Feeling your own your own root system,

Whatever that means for you Whatever that means for you I'm just checking into your nervous system and just saying okay.

What you know,

How are you nervous system?

How are you doing?

And just seeing if it needs anything the nervous system need anything in this moment I So just feeling kind of the yeah Feel whatever this is that's here right now With this having done this just let your system just Fill up with it for a moment And just feel it Feel it Feel it Feel it Feel it with this having done this just let your system just fill up with it for another moment like Yeah,

And and as if you do listen to this later I am with you on this recording But I'm also with you across time and space.

I mean energy is a really amazing thing,

You know that So just feeling you know,

Even if you're listening to this later I'm still with you you know in some way and you can So just Yeah,

So letting your system just really taking this in this this this you know,

I don't know what the word it would be for you,

But This may be spacious and us or the you know ease or whatever that word is just Yeah,

That's here right now in this moment Yeah,

Just being yeah and just see is it safe in this moment to just be just like this right now Yeah,

Okay,

It's safe to be in this moment with this breath and then the next breath And the curiosity of the breath and and how it reveals itself moment to moment and Yes,

As you can be with this Mystery the mystery engages that right brain,

You know,

So it's like we're doing ourselves a favor when we when we play in this way You know and it rebalances our our left and right brain so you just using The practicalities of this in your for your favor,

You know Yeah,

You know,

So you're just using the practicalities of this in your for your favor,

You know Yeah
