Taking a moment to locate yourself.
Notice what your attention references with that prompt to locate yourself.
What do you exist in relationship to says attention.
Whatever your attention has gone toward to determine your location.
Not making that right or wrong,
I invite you to bring your attention to something of the actual factual of this moment.
For the sake of your nervous system to find your nervous systems location.
Which for all of us in this moment,
Our nervous systems location has great accessibility to stability.
Because we all have stability in this moment.
So we want to bring our attention to that fact.
Some in some way that is easy for you.
And just let your attention meander toward what is stable in this moment.
You may have to wade through a lot of thoughts or images or concepts.
But use effort as required to keep asking the question.
What is matter of factly in this moment stable?
Maybe it's the place that the pelvic floor is meeting on the chair.
Maybe it's the pillow behind your back that's unchanging or the floor under your feet.
Maybe it's a sound that your system is receiving stability from.
Or a scent.
There's no right or wrong discovery of this.
There's just the question and the invitation to bring attention toward what is stable in this moment right now.
And let this discovery,
This place of discovery,
This resonance of discovery be everything for a moment or two.
Even if it's your little finger that finds stability,
Let the rest of you orient to that little finger's stability.
And just hang out and breathe with that.
Like there's nowhere else to go,
Nothing else to be doing.
Just playing with hanging out with that resonance.
Saying hello to that stability that's here.
Saying hello to the actual factual that's here in this moment through temperatures,
Other flavors of recognition.
And this as a reminder,
This can be done with eyes open or closed.
Whatever is going to allow your brain to recognize the actual factual.
Whether it's looking at the texture of the wall next to you and orienting that way.
Or the ways that the carpet or the wood floor is or tiled floor,
Whatever is in your context of floor.
There's lots of possibilities and opportunities to orient to what is here right now in its simplest representation so that our brains and nervous systems can be regulated.
Amidst everything else that's going on in your life,
Psychologically,
Emotionally,
Etc.
And so forth in this moment,
We want to give the brain and the nervous system the opportunity to be regulated.
And we are co creators in that regulation when we bring our attention,
Maybe with some effort to what is actual factual in this moment.
When you are in recognition of your place in this moment,
Your place in space in this moment,
You might be drawn toward the micro,
You might be drawn towards the macro,
You might find the desire for gratitude of also acknowledging the space of location,
The land that you're on,
Perhaps the sun that's giving us life,
The water that runs through us,
The air that we breathe.
Maybe we bring those into our attention as well,
As they are also here in location in this actual factual moment.
And then just staying here with this,
Whatever this this is for you,
Letting yourself breathe and include what has shown itself to be included.
And when you're ready,
Gently coming back to the screen.
