Hello everyone.
Today's meditation is about being happy where we are right now.
Not worrying about what was or what will be,
But just being here.
And so we are going to take a moment to just be here.
So find yourself in a comfortable position and let's begin.
Breathe in right here,
Nice and deep.
And then let it go and close your eyes.
Just start to let go of what happened before this meditation.
Just breathing here.
Connecting to that breath,
Noticing that breath.
This is your moment.
A moment in your day when you can just sit and be here.
No one's asking you to do anything.
No one needs you to do anything.
There's nowhere you need to be but right here in this quiet moment.
In this quiet moment.
In this stillness,
Let yourself be any way you need to.
Take a moment to move,
Adjust,
Find the comfort.
Let out any of that air that you've been holding in.
So often we hold our breath as we move through life.
From worry or fear,
Stress,
Anxiousness.
So let's take a nice long slow inhale in here.
And then audibly just let it go,
Releasing any tension you might be holding on to.
Let's do that one more time.
Nice long slow inhale in.
And then just let that out.
Really follow your breath here.
Become aware of the room and where you are in it.
Aware of the temperature and the sounds.
Being fully here.
Aware of your breath and your heartbeat.
Soften your belly.
Soften your eyelids.
Soften each part of your body.
Relaxing into the moment.
If you feel yourself clenching,
Let it go.
Soften the space between your eyebrows.
Lower your shoulders.
Notice the darkness behind your eyes.
Allowing you to shut out all the noise,
The distractions,
And be right here.
Allowing you to slow down and recognize where you are.
And what you need as you connect with your breath.
This quiet may feel rare or perhaps foreign,
Maybe even a little uncomfortable.
But this is where you need to be.
This is where you can slow down and just breathe.
Bring your awareness to your lungs and your chest.
If there is tightness,
Release it with an audible exhale.
Breathing here deeply,
Feeling it in your lungs,
Releasing tension with each exhale.
Let your chest become as light as the air entering it.
Floating here,
Feeling lighter with each exhale.
Travel down to your belly,
Another place we carry stress.
Release any tension there.
Let the air flow freely here.
With each breath,
You are lightening the pressure that each day piles up on top of us.
You are becoming light.
The air entering you lifts you up and clears away the stress,
Clears away the worries,
Clears away the cobwebs from within,
Awakening what you need and making space for what you want.
With your breath slowing,
You breathe in and follow it as it courses through you.
And now begin to turn your breath to light.
Following your breath in,
Allow it to illuminate you.
This light that you are breathing in illuminates your whole body.
Follow it in silence.
See it glow,
Each part of you coming alive with its presence.
It enters your nostrils,
Lighting up into your mind.
It is the light that you are breathing in,
Illuminates your whole body.
It enters your nostrils,
Lighting up into your mind.
Traveling down your throat,
Into your lungs,
Lighting up your heart space,
Into your belly,
All down your torso,
Your legs,
To your feet.
And then that light travels back up as you exhale,
Coursing through you,
Lighting you up from within.
You are coming alive.
You are here lighting the path within you.
Within you,
This light brings calm,
Clarity,
Presence.
This breath,
This light brings peace of mind.
And it allows you to simply just be.
Be here and be connected to your body and your breath and your heart and all that is within you.
Focus on this breath here,
Following this light as it enters and leaves your body.
Each breath,
Letting in more light.
Each breath,
Letting in more light.
And with it,
You become stronger.
You become more present.
You are here totally embodied in this moment.
Now allow yourself to think about your life as you are today.
This is not to pass judgment or to wish some things were different.
It's just to notice how you feel today,
What your life is like,
Who you are in this moment.
And with that in mind,
There is one key component we need to remember.
It's not always going to be this way.
Life is going to change.
We're going to get older.
And believe it or not,
Things will get harder and then easier.
The ebb and flow of life will continue.
When we look back,
We often see how swiftly we moved,
How graceful,
How easy.
And now,
We often look back and wish we were there.
But right now,
Let's hold gratitude for this body,
This mind,
And how it is and how it moves.
It may not move how you remember when you were young,
But it still moves.
It still moves.
Moves.
It still allows you to be here.
So today,
Instead of wishing for what we used to be,
Let's look at what we are now,
What we can do now,
Knowing that it's just going to change.
So valuing the importance of where we are at in this moment and holding gratitude for that.
It's time to stop wasting energy on the past and worrying about what's to come.
Just be grateful in this moment and silently repeat,
I am grateful.
Think of who you are and all you are right now,
This body,
This mind,
And say,
I am grateful.
Now,
Think about how you want to live your life in this body,
With this mind,
Having learned all the lessons,
With this mind,
Having learned all the lessons.
Ask yourself,
Am I living the life I want and am I living it in a way that feels right?
Thinking of who you are now,
Ask,
How can I connect to this world in a way that lights me up?
What do I need to do to wake up each day feeling fulfilled?
How can I flow and glide in my life with ease and love and grace in this body,
In this mind,
In this moment?
Now,
Silently repeat,
My mind is evolved.
My body is experienced.
My heart is open.
My soul is awake.
Feel that in your body as you bring back the light as you breathe in,
Letting that breath and light illuminate you from within with gratitude in your heart for this body and mind,
The way it is now.
Allow the light to illuminate through you as you breathe in,
Carrying through you how you want to live,
How you're living a life in the way that feels authentic and right,
How you're connecting to this world in a way that lights you up.
How you'll wake up each day feeling fulfilled and grateful for all that you have and all that you are right now,
Flowing and gliding into your days with ease and love.
Breathing into this moment because your mind is evolved,
Your body is experienced,
Your heart is open,
And your soul is awake.
We hold gratitude for where we are,
For our heartbeat,
For our breath,
And for the chance to live each day in a way that feels right for us.
Because it's not always going to be this way.
So let's hold dear to what we have now so we can appreciate it while we're living it.
Now take a nice long slow inhale in through the nose and then exhale let that go.
Another nice long slow inhale in here with gratitude in your heart.
Now take a nice long slow inhale in through the nose and exhale let that go.
Gently bring yourself back to the room noticing the ground or the chair you're in,
The temperature in the room.
Aware of your breath and your heartbeat.
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready you can come back and open your eyes.
