Welcome to this guided meditation called Autumn Mamps.
Let's begin,
So please get seated or lay down fully if you wish.
Stare for a moment,
Let your eyes glaze over.
Preparing yourself for Autumn Mamps.
Then close those eyes,
Thank you.
Empty the mind 10 seconds completely now.
Imagine the next breath in still belongs to summer.
Remembering such a warmth and heat to this breath going in and out of you.
Savor this hot summer breath,
Knowing each year it returns to you.
Sunshine reminds us of our own unique shining light yet the body loves yin and yang.
An example is hot summer days were balanced out with cool icy drinks.
Now imagine the Autumn Mamps and the autumn breath goes in and out of you.
The air is profoundly deep and fresh and coldness.
Being born this time of year is in fact very healthy.
Research reveals autumn babies live longer.
The fresh crisp air strengthens the immune system.
Our bodies constantly repair themselves and we are capable of being very strong and fit during autumn with body and mind.
I believe not just the cool autumn mumps are proven to give long lives but also the very nature of color therapy.
The trees upon this earth connect to us really close.
One autumn tree alone can disperse thousands of bright bold chakra colors in beautiful shaped leaves that we are captured in color therapy and touches each inner child that loves to play and sees the magic of life.
Things look messy in autumn but in a glorious party style,
Walking mindfully with the crunch and color of autumn leaves.
Seasonal food.
Now this is where the heat comes in,
The balance and comfort of yin and yang.
Warmer foods,
The gentleness of bowls of hot soup,
Hearty stews and home baking,
Lots of delicious fruits for cakes.
Some of these autumn recipes are quite owed,
Passed down the family tree.
When the clocks go back an hour in autumn,
Hence an extra hour in bed,
This results in healthier physical heart conditions.
Heart problems drop during autumn for sleep is a natural balance.
Now with less summer sunshine,
We can counteract the lack of vitamin D that sunshine makes on the skin and increase the foods that are rich in them such as eggs,
Fish,
Vegetables.
Autumn months may trigger mild weight gain due to lower levels of that vitamin D because it breaks down the body fats.
Although this would be great for any outdoor animals,
So looking at the bigger picture,
The lack of sunlight can also lower serotonin levels,
Which is linked to the hormone in the body that affects moods,
Appetite and sleep and so mirrors depression.
Now is the time to see what autumn is trying to show you and bless you with.
If it's dark yet early,
It makes no sense to be outdoors and so autumn is telling us to focus indoor,
To become active at home,
Adapt our eating habits and stick to sleep patterns and physical maintenance of your body.
And whilst we are proactively looking to cheer ourselves up,
There may be the gift of cheering up others around you.
Even the house pets,
Precious garden birds looking for a little support,
There is a lot of emotions revealed through autumn.
To seek something good out of it,
Become attuned to nature and let it sing to your higher heart of pink.
Now the history of autumn tells us that it was once called harvest.
Harvest was the season which included the harvest moon.
Yes,
With less sunshine,
The moon becomes that new friend.
Moon is a feminine energy.
The autumnal equinox is the day when the sun crosses the equator from the northern to the southern hemisphere.
By the modern Gregorian calendar,
This date usually falls on September 22nd or 21st.
Or the 23rd.
On this day,
The sun rises exactly in the east and sets exactly in the west.
And day and night become the same length.
But from this day on,
Days begin getting shorter than nights.
The Japanese,
For example,
Around the autumnal and vernal spring equinoxes,
Heigen.
There's a saying that goes,
Both the heat and cold end with Heigen.
Heigen lasts for seven days,
Beginning three days prior to the equinox and ending three days after it.
It occurs only twice a year.
Once when the winter temperatures give way to spring and again when the heat subsides and the cool air of autumn is here.
Heigen has Buddhist origins.
It means the other side of the river of death.
This side of the river is the world where we live.
And the other side is the realm where the souls of those who have passed away dwell.
Therefore,
Visits are made to the family grave to perform cleaning the tombstone,
Fresh flowers,
Even food,
Also burning incense and praying.
In fact,
There are many celebrations around the world and extremely colorful.
Traditionally celebrating the Day of the Dead,
The popular Mexican holiday on November the 1st and 2nd.
This is a 3,
000 year old Aztec death ritual.
Again,
Family members providing food,
Water and tools to aid the deceased in their journey to Midland,
The final resting place.
The fancy dress party has happened too.
Has not every child been so excited of a once a year Halloween of trick and treat?
Now,
Dark autumn brings better star gazing nights.
Every star you see with your naked eye is in fact bigger and brighter than the sun itself.
There is also an autumn star called Formule Hot and appears usually distant from other stars in the sky,
Leading to its nickname,
The loneliest star,
Since it is so bright and often wildly twinkles in the atmosphere.
From this single star comes many bright constellations.
The Zodiac constellation of Aquarius,
Aries and Pisces and the constellations in the Adronima,
Cassiopeia,
Pegasus,
Triangulum and so on.
So we know stars are a part of the universe.
We as humans are connected to the universe spiritually and with our creative minds for manifesting for example.
Sometimes the autumn moon shines so bright it looks like an incredible sun but we are able to look straight at it with the eyes and bathe in moonlight making personal wishes.
It is definitely a time for self-nurturing.
Now back to harvest,
It meant that farmers were ready to collect their fully ripe produce in huge abundance and ignited celebrations of singing,
Dancing and prayers of gratitude.
Bonfires and pumpkins started right back to the ancient Celtic festivals over 2000 years ago in Ireland,
England and France celebrating their new year on November the first.
So we remember that we rely on earth for all our needs.
I love this pagan point of view that food dishes designed to honor the earth and harvest things like grains,
Bread,
Wine and autumn vegetables.
Now with early dark nights,
It is an opportunity.
It is the perfect time to clean your home from top to bottom in preparation for winter and bless every room as you go.
So if you find like me,
You are at home these extra autumn hours beyond work but our passions for creativity such as hobbies,
Crafting,
Lots of skills.
What we are good at can come alive again.
If we have a garden,
Then cozy fires and mindfulness in a form of deep relaxation with the company of nature,
Pets and friends and lighting the pure white flame of candles and enter the magic of this time of year.
Now for self-nurture,
The coziness and softness of clothes from head to feet.
Colorful scarves,
Beautiful hats and soft gloves and dress for the season so you can still enjoy it.
Bring some colorful leaves into windowsills.
Let them glow inside.
Remember we have chakras that are colors of energy.
Bedrooms,
The bed can look so cute and cozy.
I'm sure our inner child is smiling at the warmth and furry softness of it all.
You can grab a hot water bottle,
Put it under your coat and have a cold walk outside connecting to yin and yang.
If you are sporty,
Outdoor runs or the grounding of jogging feels strengthening and releases endorphins.
But when the body feels strong,
The mind feels strong too.
Looking after your feet,
Such as a foot bath followed by self-massage,
You will notice a great change looking after them.
The soles of the feet connects to all your body,
Your organs and all your senses.
Happy feet,
Happy you.
Now let's have a fun autumn leaf chakra blessing meditation.
Imagine you are standing tall,
Dressed from head to toe in white outside.
There is a perfect row of trees in front of you.
The first autumn tree is full to the brim of fiery red leaves.
Every leaf is in the star shape naturally.
Then a cool,
Fresh breeze blows and blows on your face.
Your eyes look up and watch the red leaves fall on top of you.
Surrounded in redness,
The color is amazing.
Breathing deeply into this bright red energy.
Then you push your feet through a floor of red leaves through a floor of red leaves up to the next tree full of bright orange leaves,
All shaped in hearts naturally.
A fresh wind blows on your face.
Then all the orange leaves drop on you.
Your eyes love this blurry heart-shaped vision of bright orange.
Breathing deeply into this bright orange energy.
You rush and push through the bright orange leaves to the next tree.
A fierce,
Strong wind blasts excitingly onto your face.
This tree holds golden yellow leaves,
All in oval shapes naturally.
And they fall all on you.
It is so bright,
So golden yellow.
Breathing deeply into bright golden yellow energy.
And as you walk home to the warmth and coziness of your home,
You just know you have been touched by color,
You know you've been blessed by the autumn trees.
And a smile,
An energy smile fills your aura,
Telling you that your life force energy feels so good in autumn.
Give a smile too for the animal kingdom,
Like the geese that fly loud and proudly from their colony up to 3,
400 miles to their new homes where all their needs are met.
And the delicate monarch butterfly.
Just see this butterfly for a moment on your hand.
And just now,
This little beauty will also travel up to 2,
500 miles.
For their needs to be met too.
And a smile at this last miracle of the animal kingdom,
Whose name includes God.
Imagine going on a nine day journey with no time to sleep,
To eat or drink.
This is the way of the bar-tailed godwit.
Flying just under 7,
000 miles.
Blessings to the bar-tailed godwit.
And think of the great warmth of autumn foods yourself.
Your body will be pampered and all your needs met.
Crafting,
Creating,
Staying strong and healthy.
Making home the most beautiful temple.
Candlelight and that universal connection to the stars so bright.
So breathe into the heart of autumn and your higher heart of pink.
Connected to the cycle of life.
Lastly,
Seal this in with an autumn magical blessing.
Breathing into pink energy of you.
At the count of three,
Open your beautiful eyes.
One,
Two,
Three.
Eyes open bright and happy autumn.
