My name is Lillian and this is a grounding practice.
There's no better way to feel grounded than by connecting your body to the ground.
This practice is beneficial for when you are feeling anxious,
Overwhelmed,
Or if you have a general feeling need to slow down.
My guidance will be brief,
However you can engage in this practice for as long as you need.
Invite yourself to come to the ground.
Let the floor find you by coming to meet you here and sense the floor through bringing awareness to your body.
Notice your feeling of weight.
Notice your sense of shape and notice the texture of the ground underneath you.
Can you yield to the ground?
Can you meet the ground as the ground meets you?
Imagine the ground as a holding presence supporting you not only from underneath but inside and all around you.
Notice what happens to your breath and body as you invite the feeling of being held.
Soften your breath and imagine the ground breathing too.
Breathe together with the ground.
Allow your body to respond in movement at any time.
Let yourself change shape.
Let yourself press or roll.
Let your weight pool and pour spreading into the floor.
Focus on sensations that feel pleasurable and if you experience any discomfort allow the ground to guide you to a movement,
Shape or response that invites easeful sensations.
And continue to connect with the ground.
Allow yourself to rest in this practice for as long as you need.
