Welcome.
Let's go ahead and get started,
Beginning with kind of a soft landing,
Just getting us started here.
We're going to begin this by taking some deep,
Energizing breaths.
So inhale deeply,
And exhale slowly.
Breathe in,
And out.
Breathe in again,
Breathing in energy,
And exhale nice and slowly.
Now keep breathing deeply,
Slowly and calmly at a pace that feels most comfortable for you.
And while you're doing that,
We're going to do a brief visualization here.
Allow your eyes to close and imagine a warm ball of light floating just right in front of you.
An inviting,
Soothing ball of light.
Now imagine that this orb,
This ball of light,
Contains something that you're seeking right now.
Maybe it's a sense of calm,
Peace,
Perhaps it's reassurance,
Even happiness,
Or relief from pain to some degree.
This is your orb of light,
So it can be really whatever you want it to be.
Just imagine that this ball of light holds this,
Whatever it is you're seeking right now,
As well as nourishing,
Soothing,
And softening qualities.
And imagine that ball of light floating up to the top of your head gently,
Lightly.
And then slowly,
Calmly,
It descends until it enters the crown of your head.
And where this ball of light touches you,
You feel warmth,
Energy.
You feel it soothing deep into the tissues of your body,
Deep into the muscle,
The bone,
Clear into the soul itself,
Providing it with this nutrient that you've chosen,
This nutrient of calm or happiness,
Whatever it is you've chosen.
But it doesn't stop there at the top of your head,
No.
This light continues to move down the head,
Into the forehead,
The brow,
The eyes,
The nose,
The cheeks,
Wrapping around to the back of the head and the ears,
Easing its way down to the mouth,
The jaw,
And from there into the neck,
Seeping into these muscles,
These nerves,
Everything that holds the head up here.
Exhaling its way gently down into the shoulders where we tend to store a lot of tension,
A lot of tightness.
And then deep into the chest,
The upper back,
The shoulder blades,
And from there into the upper arms,
The bicep,
The tricep,
Deep into that humorous bone,
Continuing down to the elbows,
Warming these joints,
And easing down even more into the forearms,
The back,
And the front,
And everything in between.
Exhaling into the wrist,
The hand,
The palm,
The back of the hand,
And from there into the fingers.
We leave that light there,
Continuing to do its work while we continue with the rest of the body and the chest,
The back,
Continuing down into the abdomen,
The lower back,
Those massive muscles holding us upright,
And down from there to the hips,
The pelvic region,
Down deep even more into the thighs,
The back,
The front,
Deep into the core,
The very middle of each leg,
From there down into the knee,
Warming this joint that sometimes houses some pain,
Warming and soothing,
Nurturing,
Before it continues down into the shins and the calf muscles,
And from there continuing down into the ankles,
The heels,
The feet,
All the way into each individual toe,
Warming and soothing.
And now before you know it,
We've reached the entire body,
And from the head all the way down to the toes,
You've been filled with this light,
With this nutrient.
Now just allow yourself to rest in this warmth,
In this nourishing.
What's that like?
And recognize that you can keep this feeling with you.
It doesn't have to be just for now,
Although it might fade as time goes on throughout this day,
And that's okay.
That's normal.
You can come back to this practice,
Imagine yourself full of this light,
Or just remind yourself this is a part of me.
This has been,
I've been drenched in this,
This feeling,
This quality.
It's a part of me now.
And now beginning to open your eyes and welcome yourself back to this space.
