Welcome to this morning meditation where we will set an intention for the rest of the day.
In my experience,
Setting an intention first thing in the morning is a very powerful tool to direct our heart-mind into how we would like to show up during the day,
Where we would like to stand.
In a way,
Setting the intention gives us the freedom of choosing how we want to show up and move during our day.
Because life happens and she does whatever she wants to do,
Whenever she wants to do it.
And the intention is like this strong pole or container of how I want to show up with what life gives me.
Setting an intention for me is as powerful as choosing how I would like to stand in front of the goddess or in front of God.
So every day in the morning,
As I set my intentions,
I do it with this with this mindset of how I would like to stand in front of God,
Of the Goddess of Life.
So we will start our meditation,
Our practice,
With this in our mind.
So let's begin by coming into a comfortable position.
You can be seated on the floor but not exclusively.
You can be in a chair,
You can be on the edge of the bed,
Wherever you find yourself.
Just find this comfortable posture with the back Relaxed and straight.
And the chest open.
You can choose to close your eyes or to have them open.
But wherever you are,
Really start to connect with the sensation of your breath.
Become aware of your breath.
Of the air moving in and out of your body.
Relax the muscles of your face,
Your jaw.
Relax the weight of your shoulders,
Of your hips,
Your torso.
The weight of your legs,
Your feet down.
As if you were allowing your attention to melt deeper down.
Allowing this attention to expand into containing your whole body.
And allowing this intention to drop into the base of the heart Wherever you feel the base of your heart intuitively,
That's the spot where you want to rest your attention.
And from there expand it into the whole body.
Still aware of your breath.
Aware of the sounds in this audio,
The sounds around you.
The temperature of the room that you're in.
Aware of the fabrics against your skin.
The taste of your mouth.
What you see behind the open or closed eyelids.
Just really allowing your attention to settle in this present moment.
Filling your heart.
The base of your heart.
Just allow an intention to come up.
Of how you would like to show up.
Today.
How you would like to stand in front of life,
To walk through life today.
And as you allow this intention to blossom in your heart Allow it to anchor there.
With a phrase,
A feeling,
A sensation.
A word,
A color.
And allow this intention to expand to your whole body.
With every inhale and every exhale.
This intention that you're setting for the day.
Is expanding and reaching every single cell of your body.
Observing,
Feeling,
Sensing.
This intention.
Expanding into all corners of your being,
Just with your breath,
With your inhales and your exhales.
You can visualize,
Sense,
Feel this intention.
Vibrating out of every single cell,
Every single pore of your skin.
Feeling all the space around you.
Still feel your breath and feel every single cell of your body vibrating,
Acknowledging this intention.
Let's bring the palms of the hands together,
Creating heat.
Bring in the hands wherever you wish on your body.
Taking this moment to give gratitude to this time,
This space to our intention.
To life moving through us and all around us.
We're going to close.
This meditation by chanting the mantra Sat Nam.
A long sat,
A short nam.
Taking a deep inhale to chant.
Sir?
Now.
Breathe in here.
As you gently start to open your eyes,
Still stay connected with your intention,
With the vibration of your intention.
Thank you so much for joining this intention-setting meditation.
And my invitation is that during the day you come back to this intention.
You can write it on a post-it and put it somewhere that you will see it several times a day because we will forget.
Or you can set an alarm on the cell phone at random times to just remind yourself of where you want to stand up or how you want to show up for life today.
Just allow the practice to unfold naturally for you.
And again,
Thank you so much for joining.
I'll see you next time.
