Hello,
Welcome to this meditation to help you ground into and connect to yourself.
If you haven't already,
Find any comfortable position for you.
Once you're there,
Allow your eyes to gently close and place your hands wherever feels good.
Gently let yourself arrive here in this present moment.
You've taken the time to be here,
So give yourself the gift of it.
You can even tell your mind it doesn't need to think or solve anything right now.
Beautiful.
Let's take three deep inhales and slow exhales together.
So empty any air out.
And big slow breath in,
Really filling the belly with air.
And then slowly exhale.
Again long deep inhale,
Imagining oxygen moving into every inch of the body.
And slowly exhale.
Last one.
Deep breath in.
And let it out,
Maybe with a sigh.
You can let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm.
For this practice,
We're going to use the chakras of the body to help us ground into and connect with ourselves.
If you don't know what chakras are,
They're a Sanskrit term to describe the seven main energy centers believed to be in the body.
If that term or belief makes you feel uncomfortable or silly,
I invite you to just be open to it and give this a shot.
You can always take what you like and leave the rest.
And by connecting to each energy center,
We're giving it space to unblock and heal anything that's there,
Releasing that which no longer serves us,
And inviting in more positive nourishing energy.
Beautiful.
So now turn your attention to the root chakra,
Which is located at the base of the spine around the tailbone.
This center represents our foundation and feeling of being grounded and safe.
Bring all your awareness to that area,
Breathing directly into it,
While maybe seeing or sensing the color red as you do so.
Wonderful.
Now imagine that there's a cord connected to your root chakra,
And allow it to slowly grow down deep into the earth below you,
Deep into the core of the earth,
And let this connection help ground you,
Feeling safe,
Secure,
And deeply rooted in yourself.
Beautiful.
Now start moving your awareness up to the sacral chakra,
Located a couple inches below the navel.
This center represents our creativity,
Pleasure,
Passion,
And emotions,
As well as our relationships with others.
Find that spot and breathe into any sensations there,
Maybe sensing the color orange.
Feel a healthy balance in this center,
And the ability to express your authentic self.
Good.
Now move your attention up to the solar plexus chakra,
Located in the upper abdomen.
This chakra is connected to our self-worth,
Personal power,
And ability to be in control of our lives.
Breathe into that area,
Sensing the color yellow.
Feel your inner strength and confidence here.
Find how this connection helps you set and achieve goals.
Softly move your awareness now to the heart chakra,
Located in the center of the chest by the heart.
The heart is connected to our love,
Joy,
Compassion,
And inner peace.
Bring all your attention to that spot and breathe directly into it,
Maybe feeling the chest expand as you do so.
You can visualize or sense the color green.
Feel the love and compassion you have for yourself and others,
Knowing that giving love just creates more love.
Now move up your awareness to the throat chakra,
Which encompasses the throat.
This center represents our ability to communicate and express our truth.
Breathe into and notice any sensations around the throat,
Sensing the color blue.
Feel an ease in using your voice and speaking your truth with love.
Good.
Now move your awareness up to the third eye chakra,
Which is located in the center of the forehead between the eyebrows.
This area is connected to our intuition,
Imagination,
Clarity of thought,
And inner wisdom.
Breathe into this center,
Sensing the color indigo.
Feel your ability to see beyond what's available to the physical eye,
Tapping into your innate inner knowing.
And lastly,
Move your awareness to the crown chakra,
Which is located at the top of the head.
The crown represents our connection to the universe and spirituality,
Whatever that means to you.
Breathe into it,
And while holding in mind the color violet,
You can imagine a connection between the crown chakra and the sky above.
Feel this connection between you and something greater,
Maybe feeling an expansive oneness.
Beautiful.
Take a moment to feel what you,
Your unique self,
Feels like.
Can you allow a feeling of gratitude and love for your unique self to grow?
Beautiful.
Now repeat the following phrases after me,
Either out loud or in your head.
I am grounded in myself.
I release any fears or doubts that are holding me back.
I release any limiting beliefs and embrace my full potential.
I am determined and devoted to the life I desire.
I trust and love myself.
I am open to receiving abundance and prosperity in all areas of my life.
I invite you to say any affirmations specific to you and what you're releasing or calling in at this moment.
Beautiful.
Take a minute to let those affirmations sink deep into your being,
Trusting that all is working out for your highest good.
Now I invite you to extend gratitude to yourself for taking the time to do this practice and show yourself love in this way.
To gently come back to the present moment,
Maybe wiggling the fingers and toes,
Inviting movement gently back into the body.
Maybe taking the arms overhead for a stretch or moving in any other way that feels good.
And whenever you feel ready,
Taking as much time as you'd like,
You can slowly and gently open your eyes.
