Welcome,
Beautiful soul.
If you're here,
There's a part of you that needs a moment,
A moment to pause,
To breathe,
To be with what you're carrying.
You don't have to feel anything different than you do right now.
Grief is welcome here,
Exactly as it is.
You don't have to hold this alone,
I invite you to take a deep,
Gentle breath.
Notice how the breath is moving,
So let your shoulders soften,
And soften your jaw.
Your body is supported beneath you,
And if it feels right,
You might like to place a hand over your heart,
And feel the quiet rhythm there.
Just notice your breath moving,
Your body holding you,
Moment by moment,
And as you rest your hand on your heart,
Just notice what you're feeling today.
Grief doesn't just break your heart,
It moves through your whole body.
Sometimes it shows up as a tight chest,
A hollow feeling in your stomach,
A heaviness that just sits in your body.
Sometimes it's foggy,
Exhausting,
Or even numb.
All of that is grief.
Grief doesn't mean something is wrong with you,
It means something mattered.
It's love,
And it's love that no longer has the same place to go,
And grief doesn't move in a straight line.
Some moments feel a little lighter,
And then it's here again.
And that's not you going backwards.
Everything moves in waves,
Even this moment.
Nothing stays the same forever,
And you do not have to rush what's changing,
And as you sit with yourself right now,
If you can,
Just notice where grief lives.
In your chest,
Throat,
Belly,
Or simply as a presence.
You don't need to change it,
Just acknowledge it.
And gently,
Let your breath move into that space.
Not to take it away,
But just to be with it.
Because even here,
This is something within you that can hold you through this.
And as you breathe,
Notice what begins to shift.
Maybe just a little more space.
A little more softness.
Grief can be here,
And you can still be here with yourself.
So gently,
With your hand on your heart,
Take a gentle breath in.
This is grief,
And I can breathe with it.
And whenever it rises,
You come back,
Always to your breath,
To your body,
And to this moment,
And to meet yourself again with compassion.
I see you,
And I know this hasn't been easy,
And still you're here,
Breathing,
One breath at a time,
Feeling what you can,
And holding love.
And that matters.
Take a gentle breath,
And continue into your next moment.
Just carrying this with you,
That your love,
It didn't disappear,
It's still here,
Moving through you,
And you are allowed to hold it,
In your own way,
In your own time.
Whenever you are ready,
Just feel the surface beneath you,
Supporting your body,
And the places where you're being held.
And take one last gentle breath,
And as you move forward from here,
Hold yourself,
Just a little more gently,
With care,
With understanding for yourself.
Namaste.
