It is a great kindness towards the self when we meditate to check in with our heart, mind, body, and energy. Being present with full attention and nurturing acceptance, we become heart-centered and ready to share loving kindness and care with many others too.

Taking in some nice deep breaths,

I begin this meditation today and realize that whenever I do meditation or mindfulness practice,

It is a kindness towards myself,

A kindness to be more present.

It is a care,

And that care and kindness that I practice towards myself naturally then emanates to others.

So I start this practice of kindness off with giving my body oxygen and life,

Bringing my attention to my breath,

Allowing that breath to fill up my body,

Allowing that breath to reach every area from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.

And as I do that,

I check if there's anywhere in the body that is tight,

That is uncomfortable,

Or simply needs my attention.

And as I breathe,

I take my awareness and attention to that place,

Giving it the kindness of presence.

And I check if there's something that part of my body needs for me in this moment.

And whatever that is,

I allow it to have that.

And next,

I check my energy today,

My energetic body,

What is moving for me energetically.

Do I feel a lot of energy,

Lower energy?

And as I feel into this,

I see if there's something I need energetically in this moment.

And I allow myself to have that.

And next,

I take this awareness to my heart.

And I am very kind to my heart by listening and just becoming aware of what I'm feeling in this moment without judgment,

Without stories.

And I see if there's something my heart needs for me in this moment.

And whatever that is,

I allow it to have that.

And next,

I become aware of my mind.

I notice what's happening on the screen of my mind.

Maybe it's totally silent.

Or maybe there are thoughts going across my mind.

And I allow whatever is there to exist.

I'm kind to my mind.

And I notice how if I allow it to just be,

How maybe it becomes more and more quiet.

And now,

I take my awareness to the one observing all of these aspects of the self,

The conscious one.

And I also take my awareness to source,

To God,

To my higher power,

To that which gives me a sense of being held and nurtured in this universe.

And I see if in that connection,

There is a message for me in this moment.

And if there is,

I bring that message down into my mind.

Allow it to fill up my heart.

I bring it into my energy,

An energetic body.

And then allow it to flow through my entire physical body,

Carried on the breath.

And I notice now how I feel in this moment,

Having been kind and listened to all the aspects of the self.

Am I much more present,

Content,

Relaxed,

Peaceful?

And whatever that message I received was,

Or a message that I would like to send out,

I create that in my heart now.

And I do this kindness of sending out powerful thoughts,

A powerful thought to those around me.

And as I feel it and send it,

I see this now going out beyond the building I'm in,

Spreading to the neighbors and neighboring buildings,

The neighboring houses,

Going down the street.

I see this message of kindness going to all of those in the city I'm in.

I see kindness going to the state I'm in,

The rays of kindness spreading to the country I'm in.

Now I see these rays going to the continent,

The oceans,

The trees and animals,

And the entire globe I see surrounded in kindness.

And now I choose one particular place to focus these vibrations of kindness.

And I see that kindness enveloping that place and those people,

Reminding them of how loved they are,

How nurtured.

I see kindness being done to them from their neighbors and people all over the world.

I see them finding hope through this kindness,

Feeling that all is not lost because of kindness.

And as I go throughout my day to day,

I remember them and I honor them by doing acts of kindness,

By being kind to those around me and kind to myself like I have been because I've done this mindfulness practice.

And this care that I have received right now will help me to spread this kind of care and kindness to those around.
