Fostering a sense of calm after a long day.
Before we begin,
Take off your glasses and untie your hair for greater ease during your experience.
Now find a restful posture,
Sitting up or lying down,
Whatever is available to you in this moment.
Allow your eyes to gently close.
Now take a moment to ensure you are comfortable,
Perhaps a pillow under your head or your knees for extra support.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold for a moment,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Repeat that two more times at your own pace,
Feeling any tension leaving your body with each breath.
Now allow your breath to find its natural rhythm.
We will begin by relaxing each part of the body,
Deepening our body awareness and fostering ease in our peripheral nervous system.
Visualize a golden healing light,
A warm and comforting presence flowing to you from the depths of the universe.
As I say each body part,
Sense this light flowing over each area,
Calming and easing any tension in your sacred vessel.
Bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Feel the radiant light flowing over your scalp,
Forehead,
Eyebrows,
And temples.
Release any tension you may be holding.
The light flows to your eyes,
Let them relax in their sockets,
Feel the tiny muscles around your eyes soften.
Notice your mouth and jaw,
Allow your jaw to unclench and your lips to part slightly.
Soften your tongue and all the muscles around your mouth.
Allow the tongue to rest gently,
With the tip touching the roof of your mouth.
This enables more profound relaxation of the body and energetic healing.
Shift your awareness to your neck and shoulders,
Notice any tension and let the radiant golden light gradually melt away.
Allow your shoulders to drop naturally,
Feeling the weight and tension being lifted.
The light moves down your arms.
Tension flows from your shoulders to your elbows,
Wrists,
Hands,
And fingers,
Making your arms feel heavy and relaxed.
Bring awareness to your chest and heart area,
Energy in your heart as the light moves through this sacred center,
Easing any constriction or heaviness in your heart.
As the light flows down over your stomach,
Release any tension,
Allowing it to soften and expand with each breath.
Gently bring your awareness to your back,
Feel the radiant healing light penetrate each vertebrae,
From your neck to your low back.
Allow your back to relax into the surface beneath you.
Bring your awareness to your hips and pelvis,
Let go of any tightness,
Feel the muscles soften and relax.
Shift your focus to your legs,
The light flows from your thighs down to your knees,
Calves,
Ankles,
Feet,
And toes.
Let them feel heavy and at ease.
Rest here for a few moments and feel the warm healing energy of the golden light as it penetrates deep into your being,
Bringing comfort and rejuvenation to your sacred vessel.
As you gently release the visualization of the golden light,
Take a moment and imagine yourself in a serene setting.
Picture a calm beach with the gentle sound of waves,
Or a quiet forest with rustling leaves,
Or a tranquil river flowing peacefully.
Realize the details of your chosen place,
Colors,
Textures,
And the peaceful atmosphere.
Feel the warmth of the sun,
The coolness of the breeze,
Or the stillness of the air.
As you immerse yourself in this serene image,
Let go of any tension and allow yourself to experience the peace and tranquility of the environment.
If your mind starts to wander,
Gently bring your focus back to your breath and the vivid details of your serene image.
Take a moment to release any tension and distraction,
Allowing your calm and peaceful visualization to dissolve.
Take a few deep breaths and focus on something you are grateful for today.
It could be something big or small,
Personal or universal.
Once you have identified it,
Hold on to that feeling of gratitude and allow it to permeate your mind and body.
Let it fill you with warmth and positivity,
Acknowledging the good things in your life.
Reflect on the peace you have brought to your body.
Take a moment to appreciate the serene oasis you have created for yourself and the tranquility it has brought to your mind and body.
Slowly bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Open your breath and make gentle movements with your fingers and toes.
Feel free to stretch your body if you feel called to do so,
