Hello beautiful souls,

Welcome to this just for today meditation.

Present moment awareness can be difficult to cultivate in our fast-paced constantly connected lives.

Being able to stop,

Breathe,

And truly live in the moment takes practice.

Every day,

Practice.

It is helpful to begin each day mindfully,

As mornings can be rushed and hectic.

One practice you may wish to incorporate into your morning,

And perhaps come back to at stressful points during the day,

Is reciting the five Reiki principles.

These principles can help us shift our focus back to the moment,

And no previous Reiki knowledge or experience is required.

Allowing yourself just five minutes for this practice,

Can shift perspective to a more centered flowing day.

Let's begin.

I invite you to find a comfortable seated position,

And gently bring your awareness to your breath.

Now make sure you're as comfortable as you can be.

Begin to deepen your breath.

Feel the sensation of your breath as it flows in through your nose,

Spiraling down your throat,

And filling your lungs.

On the out-breath,

Notice the change in texture and temperature of your breath.

Become aware of the subtle difference between the in-breath and out-breath.

Breathe here for a moment,

Allowing yourself to feel the interconnectedness of your body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Gently return to your natural breath,

Feeling calm,

Peaceful,

Relaxed,

Safe.

Now I invite you to say to yourself,

Or aloud,

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will be grateful.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly.

Just for today,

I will be kind to every living being.

Breathe deeply into the moment,

Feeling peaceful,

Calm,

Safe.

And again,

I invite you to say to yourself,

Or aloud,

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will be grateful.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly.

Just for today,

I will be kind to every living being.

Breathe deeply into the moment,

Knowing you are safe,

You are loved,

You are light.

And now one last time,

I invite you to say to yourself,

Or aloud,

Just for today,

I will not be angry.

Just for today,

I will not worry.

Just for today,

I will be grateful.

Just for today,

I will do my work honestly.

Just for today,

I will be kind to every living being.

Gently bring your awareness back to your breath.

Follow your natural breath,

Feeling ease in the moment.

When you are ready,

You can bring small movements to your fingers and toes.

Open your eyes,

Greeting this moment refreshed.

Now at any point during the day,

When you're feeling anxious,

Worried,

Or any disease,

You can return to the five principles,

As it shows us how to find freedom in every moment.

Thank you for joining me for this mindful moment.

I wish you a blissful day,

And I am grateful to have met you on the path.

Namaste.

You
