Happy now,
Beautiful souls.
This is Kristen,
And thank you for joining me for this forest meditation.
I invite you to find a comfortable position.
You're sitting comfortably with your back straight,
Palms resting open on your lap,
Or lying down,
Perhaps with a pillow under your knees for added support.
Find what position best serves you right now.
Once you are comfortable,
Close your eyes.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
Just notice your breath flowing in through your nose,
Deep into your lungs,
And out.
Now take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling the air as it flows through your nostrils,
Down your throat,
Into your lungs as your belly rises.
Now slowly release your breath through your mouth,
Feeling its texture as it leaves your body.
Take a few more breaths like this,
Deep in through your nose.
Feel the presence of the life force held in each breath.
Exhale deeply,
Being sure to release all of the stale air held on due to shallow breathing.
Empty your lungs completely.
Now I invite you to return to your natural breath and relax deeply into your space.
I invite you to picture a beautiful forest,
Rich with color and life,
An oasis of serenity.
The canopy of the majestic trees reveal a scattering of sunlight on the forest floor.
You watch the light dapple and sparkle as you walk on a mossy path,
Feeling the life-giving energy of the flora surrounding you.
The trees breathe and you breathe.
Feel the connection between you and all of creation.
You walk slowly,
Carefully,
Barefoot on the soft moss.
It cushions every step.
You feel the earth energies stir beneath your feet.
You invite these energies in through the soles of your feet,
Grounding you to Mother Earth and the moment.
You feel the gentle breeze kiss your skin.
You continue to walk on the path and you notice a beautiful crystal blue pool of water shimmering in the bright sunlight.
The refreshing view and sounds of a waterfall gently feeding the pool nourish your soul.
You pause,
Experiencing the bliss of the moment.
You gaze deeply into your reflection in the water and you see thousands of serene faces reflected back.
A sense of support and calm fills your body and you know these are your ancestors and spirit guides showing you that we are all one.
You are in your ancestors and they are in you.
You carry their spirit of love,
Wisdom and truth in your heart.
You feel a deep connection to your spirit guides as you take a few deep breaths grateful for their appearance here in the magical wood.
You depart from the crystal waters and continue your journey on the mossy path.
As you walk slowly,
You notice the details of the bark of the trees,
The branches,
The roots and how they are arranged like blood vessels and rivers.
You see deeply into the interconnectedness of all existence.
You feel it one with creation.
As you begin to walk again,
You notice a path starting to wind downward along the mountainside and you descend slowly.
You walk deeper and deeper as the path winds into the heart of the forest.
You arrive at a muddy pool of water staring into its murkiness.
In its depths,
You notice a lotus growing,
Blooming,
Reaching for the light before your eyes.
From deep within the mud,
The beautiful flower seeks the light and opens for you.
In the heart of the lotus,
You see a shining yellow sun full of radiant energy and you realize the lotus is you.
Open yourself to the bountiful gifts of the universe and let your light shine on all of creation.
Breathe in the light deeply through your nose and out your mouth,
Completing the cycle of universal life force.
Take seven deep breaths into your belly with each in-breath.
Feel that golden light growing and expanding inside you until it surrounds you completely.
The light is your truth,
Your source,
Your power and love.
After the seven breaths,
Return to your natural breath.
Gpaces As you may take a few more minutes to rest in the beauty of the magical forest,
When you are ready begin to bring small movements to your fingers and toes and gently bring your awareness back to your body into the space you are in.
You may open your eyes when you are ready.
Take your time.
Thank you for joining me today on this journey into Mother Nature.
I am grateful to have met you on the path.
Namaste.
