The Perfectionist Inner Critic pushes us to strive for excellence, because if we are perfect, then others will have no room to judge or criticize us. The Taskmaster doesn't let us rest. She pushes us into a constant state of validation through achievement. The more we do, the harder we work, the more successful we will be. And these two parts often tag team with one another, keeping us in an endless loop of working towards the unattainable. This meditation uses the breath to guide you into presence and to model the body's innate wisdom for balance. It ends with a few self-reflection questions using the Internal Family Systems model to help you understand and soothe your critics so that you can relax back and trust in your innate Self wisdom.
