You notice the warm golden sun rays against the tall shadows of the trees.

The shadows cast against the forest floor.

Breathing in deeply.

You sense the refreshing scent of the forest foliage.

This helping you to feel more relaxed.

Calm.

Connected with the peace of the scene.

Walking slowly through the forest.

The sun is gradually disappearing.

So the forest is becoming darker.

But all the while you are aware of a loving kindness emanating from this magical place.

You know you are safe and protected.

And though it is becoming darker.

You see the gentle flicker of fireflies above you.

Softly lighting your way through this beautiful place.

In the distance you hear the hoot of an owl.

Calling from deep within the forest.

The warm glow of the fireflies just adds to the magical atmosphere of this ancient forest.

Looking ahead.

.

You notice that the soft shimmer of the fireflies above are lighting a pathway through the forest.

.
.
As you begin to walk slowly.
.
.
.
.
.
And serenely along this enchantingly lit path.

You hear a swish of the air above you.
.
.
.
.
.
Looking up.
.
.
.
.
.
You see an owl gliding down to land on the branch of a tree.
.
.
.
.
.
A quiet moment of connection between you and the owl.
.
.
.
.
.
As you look into the large eyes of this beautiful creature.
.
.
.
.
.
He blinks slowly.
.
.
.
.
.
And almost appears to nod his head in acknowledgement to you.

.
.
.
.
You watch in wonder as you see the owl fly upwards.
.
.
.
.
.
Gliding silently above the tree canopy.
.
.
.
.
.
And land on a branch of a tree further ahead.

.
.
.
.
On this magically lit pathway.
.
.
.
.
.
You continue to walk slowly.
.
.
.
.
.
And lazily.
.

Following the lights of the fireflies.

.
.
.
And the owl always gliding ahead of you.

You notice you are climbing a meandering hill pathway.

And arriving at the top of the hill.

You look down.
.

.
.
Directly in front of you.
.

.
.

There is a natural staircase that leads down the hill.

.
Down into a forest glen.
.
.
.
.
.
You can hear the soft tinkle of water that is trickling through a small ravine below.

And there appear to be many welcoming glowing lights.

.
.
.
.
Just shimmering mysteriously in this forest veil.

.
Softly lighting the scene below.

In a moment I will guide you slowly and safely down this natural stairway.

That takes you to this magical place at the centre of the forest.

It's the most beautiful and mysterious scene.

The ground all around you is covered in lush green grass.

With small flowers growing throughout.

And these small flowers too.

Also glow with a soft light.

.
So many different colours.

.
It's as if the natural beauty of the vegetation is shining and glowing softly.

With many luminescent colours.

The grass and the flowers sway in the gentlest of breezes.

And you continue to walk through the grass and the glowing wild flowers.

To an area in the middle that looks to have been fashioned into a place where you can lie down.

And make yourself comfortable.

Looking up towards the sky above.

You see the stars twinkling in the deep blue-black velvet sky.

.
.
Twinkling and shining.
.
.
.
.
.
Like millions of sparkling,
Shining crystals.

.
.
You can still hear the gentle trickle of water from the brook that flows near this small wildflower meadow.

.
.
Breathing in deeply.

.
.

And slowly breathing out.

You breathe in a calming scent of lavender.

And chamomile.

The mixture of these natural aromas.

Beautiful! I woke up Wideawake at 3 AM and listen to this. The soft and gentle words at the very end shifted me to a place of being kind to myself, and then I could drift back to sleep!
