Transcript
This is Kim Carmen Walsh and tonight's guided sleep meditation takes you to a fragrant garden to indulge your sense of smell and awareness of your connection with nature.
This is intended to help increase your perception of the present moment in your everyday waking state,
Which in turn will help you to live more spontaneously and authentically.
As you increase your awareness of presence and the now,
Both your mental and physical health are affected in a positive way.
.
.
.
.
Encouraging you to be more alert and energetic when you need to,
As well as more relaxed and peaceful when this is required to.
.
.
.
.
To be aware of your flowing more naturally and easily with life and its seasons in work,
In rest and in play.
So,
When you are ready,
Take a deep breath in.
.
.
.
.
And as you breathe out,
Close your eyes and begin to relax.
Tuning your attention to the sound of the music,
The sound of the chirping crickets,
Each and every sound you hear helping you to relax more deeply,
To let go of your thoughts,
To let go of the day.
There is absolutely nothing you need to do.
.
.
.
.
Just lie back and listen.
.
.
.
.
Allowing the sounds and the sensations to transport you into sleep.
.
.
.
.
Breathing deeply in.
.
.
.
.
And slowly out.
.
.
.
.
Each breath,
Feeling your body sink more deeply into your bed.
.
.
.
.
To sleep a deep and restful sleep throughout the night.
.
.
.
.
To awake in the morning,
Feeling optimistic.
.
.
.
.
Revived to get a touch of rest.
.
.
.
Engineer lost his sense of joy.
.
.
.
Ronewith his body.
.
.
.
.
.
D selves as the session progresses.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And as your body relaxes.
.
.
.
Your mind too.
.
.
.
Feels quieter and quieter.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To know the deeper peace and contentment of being.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
The subtle serenity and intelligence of your higher consciousness.
.
.
.
That goes beyond thought.
.
.
.
Beyond the material.
.
.
.
That is always working for your higher benefit in the background of your awareness.
.
.
.
And how good it feels to recognise.
.
.
.
To feel.
.
.
.
To see.
.
.
.
To touch the world through this part of you.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
To know that just by tuning into the present moment.
.
.
.
To be aware of the world directly through your senses.
.
.
.
There is a freedom in the here.
.
.
.
In the now.
.
.
.
A spontaneous sensation that exists beyond your conditioned mind.
.
.
.
Beyond your habitual thoughts.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And this deeper part of you.
.
.
.
Your innate intelligence.
.
.
.
Is always connected with nature.
.
.
.
At one with life.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
So in your mind's eye now.
.
.
.
I'd like you to imagine yourself in a garden.
.
.
.
You are by yourself.
.
.
.
Standing on the terrace of an old and beautiful house.
.
.
.
It is the end of a lovely summer's day.
.
.
.
You can feel the dusky warmth of the departing sun on your skin.
.
.
.
The gentle fragrance of the roses that you can see growing up along the terrace.
.
.
.
And the stone walls of the house.
.
.
.
Noticing the colours.
.
.
.
The soft velvet texture of the petals.
.
.
.
The deep green of the leaves.
.
.
.
The warmth of the sun on your skin.
.
.
.
The scent of the roses.
.
.
.
The harmony and serenity of the special place.
.
.
.
Will help you to feel even more relaxed.
.
.
.
More content and peaceful than you have ever felt before.
.
.
.
So walking slowly and lazily along the terrace.
.
.
.
To the large stone steps that lead down into the garden.
.
.
.
In a moment I will guide you safely down the steps.
.
.
.
And with each step down you feel yourself relax deeper and deeper.
.
.
.
A soothing wave of tranquillity and calmness sweeps through your mind.
.
.
.
Through your body.
.
.
.
With each step down aware of your body feeling heavier and heavier.
.
.
.
Sinking more deeply down into your bed.
.
.
.
Your mind quieter and quieter still.
.
.
.
Standing at the top of the steps now.
.
.
.
You take your first step down on ten.
.
.
.
Feeling relaxed.
.
.
.
Happy.
.
.
.
Content.
.
.
.
Nine.
.
.
.
Letting go.
.
.
.
Eight.
.
.
.
Drifting deeper and deeper down.
.
.
.
Seven.
.
.
.
Serene and sleepy.
.
.
.
Six.
.
.
.
So quiet and still.
.
.
.
Five.
.
.
.
Floating and drifting into sleep.
.
.
.
Six.
.
.
.
Four.
.
.
.
Three.
.
.
.
Two.
.
.
.
One.
.
.
.
All the way down.
.
.
.
Feeling soothed and relaxed.
.
.
.
You are now standing at the bottom of the steps.
.
.
.
In this beautiful garden.
.
.
.
Looking about you.
.
.
.
The grass is lush and green beneath your feet.
.
.
.
And you continue to walk slowly and languidly across the lawn.
.
.
.
The feeling of the grass.
.
.
.
Fresh and cool against the pace of your feet.
.
.
.
With each footstep.
.
.
.
There is the gentlest of breezes.
.
.
.
You are aware of the scent of jasmine and warm earth in the air.
.
.
.
The leaves and branches of the trees are swaying in the wind.
.
.
.
You can hear the softest whisper of the rustling leaves.
.
.
.
Mixed with the sound of the chirping crickets.
.
.
.
And water from the fountain.
.
.
.
Each step you take.
.
.
.
Feeling more and more tranquil.
.
.
.
A sense of oneness and delight.
.
.
.
With the nature and serenity of this garden.
.
.
.
A garden that is a mix of neatness and wildness.
.
.
.
This beauty and peace just is.
.
.
.
Without any thought.
.
.
.
With the deeper intelligence and wisdom of silence that goes beyond thought.
.
.
.
And your awareness of it heightens its joy at being.
.
.
.
At the bottom of this garden.
.
.
.
There is an orange orchard.
.
.
.
You can smell now the fresh scent of oranges and amber.
.
.
.
Filling you with a new sense of ease and focus.
.
.
.
These qualities you will bring with you in your everyday waking state.
.
.
.
Focusing yourself feeling more present.
.
.
.
More aware of the now.
.
.
.
And how this helps you feel a wonderful sense of well-being and confidence.
.
.
.
A trusting joy in just being you.
.
.
.
To know and feel the true depth of your beauty.
.
.
.
Of your truth.
.
.
.
And just ahead of you.
.
.
.
You see a beautiful almond tree.
.
.
.
The fragrance of the blossom and the foliage drifting over to you.
.
.
.
You can feel the scent of honey in the dusk time air.
.
.
.
And just beneath the almond tree is a large reclining chair.
.
.
.
With soft blankets and pillows.
.
.
.
And make your way to seat yourself down in the chair.
.
.
.
Lying back and pulling the blankets over you.
.
.
.
Feeling more content and peaceful than you have ever felt before.
.
.
.
Aware of your connection with the peace and serenity of the garden.
.
.
.
And as you make yourself comfortable in the reclining chair.
.
.
.
You are aware of the warm notes of lavender borne to you.
.
.
.
Allowing the scent to help calm and soothe you into sleep.
.
.
.
In the serenity.
.
.
.
The deeper peace and tranquillity that exists in this garden.
.
.
.
Is always inside you.
.
.
.
Is going to help you relax even more deeply.
.
.
.
As its subtle touch travels down your body.
.
.
.
From the top of your head.
.
.
.
To the tips of your toes.
.
.
.
To help you drift naturally and easily into sleep.
.
.
.
Allowing the peace and joy of being to flow through your body.
.
.
.
Flow through your mind.
.
.
.
With you while you sleep.
.
.
.
And when you awake.
.
.
.
So bringing your attention now to the top of your head.
.
.
.
You are aware of a soothing wave as it travels slowly down to your forehead.
.
.
.
Slowly on down over your eyes.
.
.
.
This ease and calmness.
.
.
.
Helping you to let go of all those muscles as it travels over.
.
.
.
Like a gentle massage.
.
.
.
Or a soothing caress.
.
.
.
Allowing to travel down your face.
.
.
.
And your cheeks.
.
.
.
To your jaw.
.
.
.
Parting your teeth just a little.
.
.
.
Feeling the peace and tranquillity flow through your body.
.
.
.
Now down the back of your head.
.
.
.
And slowly down the back of your neck.
.
.
.
A tingling sensation of contentment and serenity.
.
.
.
Coursing gently through your body.
.
.
.
Softly across your shoulders.
.
.
.
And slowly down your arms.
.
.
.
To your hands.
.
.
.
To your fingertips.
.
.
.
Breathing in deeply.
.
.
.
And slowly out.
.
.
.
You are aware of the gentle ease flowing across your chest.
.
.
.
And subtly down to your tummy.
.
.
.
Across your upper back.
.
.
.
And lightly down.
.
.
.
Down down.
.
.
.
Down.
.
.
.
Down.
.
.
.
All the way down to your lower back.
.
.
.
Gently over your pelvis and your buttocks.
.
.
.
To your legs.
.
.
.
Your thighs.
.
.
.
Down to your knees.
.
.
.
Your calves.
.
.
.
Your ankles.
.
.
.
And your feet.
.
.
.
All the way down to the tips of your toes.
.
.
.
Sinking deeper and deeper down into your bed.
.
.
.
Heavier and heavier.
.
.
.
Sense of ease and tranquillity continuing to flow with you into sleep.
.
.
.
Into your waking state.
.
.
.
Perceiving the deeper peace of presence.
.
.
.
And your subtle yet powerful awareness of the now.
.
.
.
Drifting down into sleep.
