Sleep meditation is a place where you will visit the magical school for witches and wizards and it's a place where you can let go of your everyday worries and drift into a deep and blissful sleep There is absolutely nothing you need to do. . . . . Just lie back and listen. . . . . Allowing the sounds you hear to help you let go of your thoughts. . . . . To let go of your day. . . . So when you are ready. . . . . Take a deep breath in. . . . . And as you breathe out. . . . . Close your eyes. . . . . And begin to relax. . . . . Become aware of your body lying in your bed. . . . . Noticing the sensation of your body relaxing. . . . . As you tune in to the sound of my voice. . . . . And the sound of the rain and thunder in the background. . . . . Be aware of the music. . . . . Should your attention wander away during this session. . . . . You just gently and lightly bring your awareness back to the sounds you hear. . . . . So that each and every sound relaxes you more deeply. . . . . Feeling soothed by every word. . . . . By the spaces between the words. . . . . The silence beneath the sounds. . . . . Noticing how good it feels to just let go. . . . . Allowing your body to sink deeply down into your bed. . . . . And as your body relaxes. . . . . Your mind follows. . . . . So that you begin to feel more tranquil and peaceful than you have ever felt before. . . . . Should you need to wake for any reason at all. . . . . You will do so. . . . . Tend to whatever needs your attention. . . . . Return to bed. . . . . And just by bringing your mind back to the sensation of your body lying in your bed. . . . . You will drift easily and naturally back to sleep. . . . . Awaking only at a time that you set for yourself. . . . . Feeling positive. . . . . Rejuvenated. . . . Focussed. . . . In your mind's eye now. . . . . I'd like you to see yourself in your house common room. . . . . You are sat next to the fire. . . . . Either in a relaxing chair. . . . . Or maybe lying on the floor. . . . . You can hear the soft crackle of the fire. . . . . Smell the woody scent of the burning logs. . . . You can feel the warmth of the flames. . . . . And outside. . . . . You can hear the sound of rain. . . . . And rolling thunder in the distance. . . . . The sensation of warmth and contentment. . . . . You're feeling so at ease. . . . . That each and every sound you hear flows through your mind. . . . . Through your body. . . . . You're warm and cosy. . . . . Safe and protected. . . . . Quiet and still. . . . Feeling so sleepy now. . . . . That you decide to make your way to your dormitory bed. . . . . Standing at the foot of the spiral staircase that leads to your dormitory. . . . This is a magical stairway. . . . . With each footstep up. . . . . The stairs spiral downwards. . . . . So that it appears as if you are remaining in the same place. . . . . While your dormitory comes closer. . . . . With each step. . . . . The staircase descends in a spiral behind you. . . . And in a moment. . . . . I will guide you up each and every step. . . . . While the spiral staircase rotates downwards. . . . . Each step closer to your dormitory. . . . There are ten steps. . . . I will begin counting down the steps. . . . . And with each number. . . . . You feel your body relax more deeply. . . . . Your mind feeling quieter and quieter. . . . Aware of the sensation of each and every step rotating the staircase downwards. . . . . Starting on ten. . . . . Feeling so peaceful. . . . . Slow. . . . . And lazy. . . . Nine. . . . . How good it feels to just let go. . . . . To surrender to this moment. . . . Eight. . . . . To help you relax more deeply. . . . Letting go to deeper levels of peace. . . . . Sorenity. . . . . Contentment. . . . You are feeling the perfect temperature for you. . . . . Aware of the touch of the bedding fabric against your skin. . . . . The support of your mattress. . . . You find that the rainstorm outside. . . . . The knowledge of being safe. . . . . And cosy in your bed. . . . . Protected from the outside storm. . . . . It only helps you to feel more and more relaxed. . . . . And above you. . . . . Through the canopy of your bed. . . . . You see clearly the night sky. . . . . And although it is raining outside. . . . . Your view of space above is clear. . . . . You see the stars twinkling and shimmering in the blue-black velvet of the night sky. . . . . To help you deepen the state of relaxation. . . . . This is a really fun and surprisingly effective track, I enjoy the visualisation. Very soothing
