Hello and welcome to this session on healing the ancestors with me Keziah Gibbons.
Make yourself comfortable in your practice space and allow yourself to drop in once.
Allow the sounds around you to fade,
Your eyes to close and your awareness to quest inwards,
Breathing deeply and restfully as you feel for that place inside that is still dark and quiet deep inside.
In that still dark quiet space inside you is a beautiful thread.
Take it in your hand and allow yourself to appreciate its beauty,
Its rich colours,
Its texture,
Its resonance in the depths.
Begin to follow the thread through your sacred internal landscape,
Following it until you find the place where the thread joins a whole tapestry.
On the tapestry you see the place of the ancestors and you allow yourself to climb inside the tapestry to this place.
As you enter the place of the ancestors,
Make your presence and intention known.
You may wish to light a candle,
Offer flowers,
Pour a libation or give words or a song.
As you settle here,
You may notice loving ancestors close by,
Happy to be with you in the work that you do.
Today we're going to send healing to our ancestors.
Inviting all loving ancestors who are in need of healing to be present,
To receive.
Place your hands on your heart if that's available to you.
Holding your loving ancestors in your heart.
Those you know of.
Those you don't.
Knowing that there is enough love,
Enough compassion there for them.
And that this love and compassion is here for you too,
Their descendant.
And then invite in healing from source,
Whatever that is for you.
Know that the universe is full of infinite healing energy.
And that there is enough for you to call in now,
In aid of sending healing to your loving ancestors who need it.
As you breathe in,
Imagine a gentle,
Healing light coming in from source.
You might feel it as it starts to flow in through your crown,
Down into your heart.
You might visualize it.
Or you might just know that healing is available.
That there is enough for everybody.
And that you can feel it as it flows in through your heart.
That you can direct it now with your intention into your heart.
To where your loving ancestors are held.
Intending that they receive the healing they need.
Knowing that as they do so,
So too do you receive any healing you might need.
And allow this healing to flow.
Breathing in,
Calling healing energy down from source.
Breathing out,
Directing it to your heart.
Allowing it to reach you and through you to your loving ancestors.
Allowing the healing to flow.
And you may find thoughts,
Emotions or sensations arising.
And if you do,
Know that this is fine as the healing creates subtle shifts and releases for you and your ancestors.
Allow anything which is supportive to stay with you.
And just give yourself permission to release anything that is old,
Stale or not supportive,
Letting it go.
Continuing to breathe in a gentle healing rhythm.
Calling healing energy down from source as you breathe in.
Allowing it to flow.
Directing it to your heart and through your heart to your loving ancestors as you breathe out,
Intending that they and you receive what you need.
You may imagine your loving ancestors,
Known and unknown,
Receiving the energy.
Surrounded by gentle healing light.
Trusting the healing to go where it's needed.
And you might affirm your intention to send healing to them aloud.
Using their names where you know them.
Or just offering healing to all loving ancestors.
Or all loving ancestors of a certain line,
Time or place.
Breathing gentle healing light in.
Calling it down from source.
Breathing out.
Allowing it to flow to your heart and through your heart to your loving ancestors.
Reaching them so that they receive the healing they need.
And the love and compassion that you send with it.
Close the practice by allowing the flow of energy to subside.
Releasing any visualization you've been holding.
And articulating your intention to end the practice now.
Imagine fresh air sweeping in through the place of the ancestors.
Taking and removing any leftover energy or anything that's been released.
Give thanks to your loving ancestors for holding the space for you to hold the space for them.
And acknowledge that their healing is your healing.
Allow space for them to send gratitude to you as well.
Leave the place of the ancestors knowing that you can always come back.
And allow yourself to come out of the tapestry.
Following the beautiful thread all the way back through your internal landscape until you find that dark,
Quiet,
Still place within.
Allow your awareness to begin to come outwards.
Noticing once more the positioning of your body.
Noticing your breathing.
You might become aware once again of the sounds around you.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
That's our practice for today.
